Death, murder, hedonism, or God

Well, another week goes by in Chicago and multiple people are dead and wounded, rivaling the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan numbers. The usual suspects line up in front of the sycophant press to declare a renewed war on,.......guns. The usual suspects on the other side start quoting statistics showing more guns equals less crime. Comparisons are made with Arizona and Texas crime rates and the spin goes on and on.

Meanwhile, kids are dead and wounded. Innocents are left grieving the grief no one can calm,........except God. The only topic NEVER discussed is the failed experiment to excise God from American life. Is there anyone that can make a case that taking God out of the culture has helped ANYTHING? It is so obvious to any thinking person, even an atheist, that removing God from everyday American life has been a disaster. Yet that is the only subject NEVER mentioned on the hours and hours of droning on about changing the Constitution or mandating everyone carry a gun. There is no subject off limits on the talking head shows and the endless cue of politicians lining up for their turn in front of a camera,.......except God. God is relegated to a couple of holidays every year, and even then, it MUST be measured and carefully discussed as to not offend any denomination.

The truth is right there in front of everyone, yet that is the only thing never proposed to fix what ails us. Any person that is a student of history can make a solid case that society has coarsened for the worse, since prayer has been banned from school. Bibles aren't allowed to be read, even Bible stories cannot be referenced on Christmas and Easter. What does this do to even a Christian family trying to raise their children with Godly values? The children see that we really aren't serious about following God and there is almost no weight given to Biblical values. Pastors have sex with the organ players, divorce is rampant in churches, gays are being infiltrated into church life, and murdered children are held up as reasons to change the Constitution. Where are the people asking why the Founders didn't have these sorts of problems when everyone was expected to have guns? Why wasn't murder rampant in the '60's when I could go to the Army Navy store on my bicycle and purchase a M1 Garand for $35 and bring it home slung over my shoulder? When I was 10-12, I wore my jacket covered with NRA Marksman patches earned in shooting matches and people commented how proud they were of my ability. No one seemed frightened of me.

Yes, there were atheists in my school that refused to bow their heads and looked out the window as the teacher led class prayer. No one forced anything on anyone. Everyone knew it was futile to force a non believer to conform and we respected their right to do what they wanted. But the culture was decidedly Christian. Everyone understood the country was founded on Christian values and teachings. We had gays, but they were in the closet and most kids grew up without even knowing what they did to have sex. We had Buddhists and Atheists, and allowed them to believe as they wished. Some had premarital sex, but didn't broadcast it because they were the "bad" girls. We had abortions but they were few and shameful. There was a certain pressure universally understood in society that kept hedonism hidden and to a minimum.

The big difference that stands out today is there was very little murder. I grew up in a medium sized town and cannot remember even one murder in my lifetime until I left for the Army. In those days, if you found yourself in a fight, it would have seemed cowardly to bring a weapon to a fist fight. Today, the same town records 2-3 murders a week in the local rag.

To think we could cure much of what ails this country by just bringing God back to the forefront is just frustrating for me. Go back and watch the human twisting and squirming to avoid the obvious in these gun control love fests and you will see even the local pastors avoiding talking about God missing from the culture. I think everyone would admit that praying in school won't change things overnight, but we have gone 2-3 generations without it and have much damage to turn around. It's never too late to humble ourselves and repent and I'm sure God will hear from heaven and heal our land. Lost people are lost, but God's people can make a difference if they will just stand for Him. Who will make this argument? Is their anyone that will stand in the gap and argue that God is the only force in the universe to bridal the human heart?

I'm anxious for even one person to maybe make a suggestion that we bring prayer and Bible study back to even one city, possibly as a control experiment, and look back 5 years from now. I have NO doubts that God will make it plain that we can't live in freedom without Him. The reason we fiddle with laws day and night, 24/7, is because we are being bound up in slavery to hearts of stone. To live in freedom, we must have God. The experiment has failed. When you have bodies lined up in the morgue and parents screaming in anguish, can't we suggest something different? If you write your Congressman with prayer as a suggestion, they chuckle and file it in the round file. They would be ridiculed to no end if they proposed prayer returning to school. We are talking literally of life and death and they have no serious answer.

The Second Amendment is firmly ensconced in law and separation of church and state is not even mentioned in our Founding documents. We prayed in school for over 170 years and public school was instituted to teach the young to read the Bible. All the early public schools were started in the local churches. Bible study was common in Texas High School up until the 60's. The early Congress voted to fund the printing of American Bibles due to the Revolution interfering with Bible shipments from Europe. There is absolutely nothing to keep us from bringing prayer and religious study back to the school system, yet that is the ONLY subject never raised in these grief fests on TV. The obvious conclusion must be we would rather bury children than ask God for His divine protection. Sin is always paid for in blood. We are just throwing our children into Molech's flames to avoid submission to God. My money is on God winning. The only question is how much blood it will cost before we kneel. Will it be your family's blood?

Daniel Patrick Moynihan Predicted the Future of the Black Family But Too Few People Actually Listened

January 17, 2013 by Jamila Akil

The Negro Family: The Case for National Action, the 78-page report written by a then 38-year old Daniel Patrick ‘Pat’ Moynihan, an assistant secretary of labor for policy in the Lyndon B. Johnson administration, was never supposed to see the light of day.

The Negro Family, which later came to be widely known simply as “The Moynihan Report,” did not even originally have Moynihan’s name on it’s cover–the document was only meant to be distributed to high-ranking members of the Johnson administration in order to spur discussion regarding what policies could be implemented in order to assist the Negro family with the task of fully integrating society.

But, Moynihan was also issuing a warning. The Negro family was already suffering rates of familial disintegration, poverty, and out-of-wedlock pregnancy at rates far higher than white families; if something was not done soon, he warned that the problems of lower class blacks (i.e., a “tangle of pathology”) may well become self-perpetuating, if they had not become self-perpetuating already.

Excerpted. Go to the link to see what a Democrat Moynihan predicted re the dire results for the Blacks in America after living in the War on Poverty.

The solution to Chicago violence is simple. Just give every citizen the same level of personal protection enjoyed by the mayor. He does everything in complete safety, all the while enjoying a very good life. Why wouldn’t he want every one of his constituents to enjoy equally good lives?

My comments aren’t necessarily aimed at Blacks. Wouldn’t it be something if Blacks universally forced prayer and Bible study in their precincts and showed what a difference it made? I think we can all agree the largest failure has been in Black areas, but all of America has gone spiritually insane. Proposing Charter schools that mandated prayer and Bible study in urban schools would prove quickly what I’m talking about. It would be virtually overnight, and universal in scope so that even the secular atheists would have to admit it.

Of course I agree that everyone should enjoy the protections of the Bill Of Rights. Having an armed homeowner would make a difference, but I was concentrating more on why people are killing each other in the first place. I, of course, am armed, but I also have no desire to kill and rob anyone. I’m sure there is a factor in a criminal mind that warns him to choose and unarmed mark, but why not remove the unction to kill and rob with something like, .....maybe Salvation? Maybe good citizenship? How about guilt and shame? Our Founders knew the human heart was dark and gave us the 2nd Amendment, but they also knew that without God, there aren’t enough guns.

I believe you’re largely correct regarding the correlation between our nation’s rejection of God and the destruction we see all around us. This is what God threatened Israel with, and we read of that threat carried out again and again in various ways. And it’s what Paul describes in Romans 1 - not limited to Israel, but (I believe) merely God’s natural law at work.

I question your proposed solution, however. It’s reminiscent of the reformations ordered by Josiah and other kings, which looked good on the surface, but which God assessed this way:

“And the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw nigh unto me, and with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which hath been taught them...”

Because in the 60's, you had a justice system that was sure and swift. You had a death penalty that was used quite frequently.

You talk about the usual suspects coming out. Well your side, the God squaders always come out squeeling about the death of children and innocents, (gang members ages 14 to 20) even though the killings are almost always about drugs and the territory needed to sell them.

Your bunch is the group that started to undermine the justice system with calls for mercy and the end of the death penalty in the 60's and were used as allies of the leftists.

And you're still lining up with the leftists every time one of you moronic bible thumpers comes out wringing your hands about "GUN VIOLENCE". Making it harder for me to obtain and keep firearms is going to stop Rasheed and Quintel from shooting each other.

Look in the mirror if you want to see where the problem lies.

Obviously you have no clue about "my bunch". Everyone I know is for the death penalty and law and order. You may be mistaking me for the libs that have gay deacons and Catholics that march outside prisons on execution day.

I have never called for ending the death penalty and the Bible calls for it for several crimes. The lukewarm pew sitters believe God has changed His mind and and evolves with the times. If you could trade the time in the 1950's and early 60's, for now, the big difference is the decline in religion in the culture. It's not Christians approving gun control and gay marriage and free dope. We do have a few cults that write their own Bibles that would have been laughed out of Christianity 50 years ago.

Now if wanting a 15 year old to change his life and not end up dead or in prison and his victims to live in peace, well I'll claim that "bunch". You won't do that by denying them any exposure to God's teachings. Just remember the LIBS "claim: to be Christians as they approve of abortion and gay marriage and then want to turn the murderers out. Christians that follow the teachings of Christ don't believe the Bible says that. Jesus said, I didn't come to change the Law, but to fulfill it. An eye for an eye still stands. People with Obama stickers on their cars in the parking lot get a conversation with a church leader where I go. We don't believe liberalism and Christ can mix together. They can be a Christian or a Democrat, but not both. The evolution of the people you are talking about are who I'm talking about. In the 1950's sodomy was against the law and if you had a son that was a sodomite, it was still against God's law. Today, we are told we can't judge sin and to butt out. Scripture says that's not the case. In Texas while growing up, rape was a death penalty case. Today it has evolved into sexual assault, as if the woman just got a slap or something.

The whole point of my post was to opine over the world drifting away from God, ...exactly what you seem to think I'm causing. All I can say is it ain't me and mine.

If you name some of these "God Squaders" that you seem to blame, would that be the religious zealots like Pelosi, any Kennedy, Biden, Kerry? They all have the little smear of ashes on their forehead on TV just as they vote to kill more babies and back sodomite marriage. The ashes are just a reminder of their appointment to burn soon in hell.

I can’t see how exposing the people to what God expects of His people would hurt anything. Today we are denying we are even a Christian nation. If you want to remain a non believer, that’s your choice, but you must know what we, as American’s expect of you. To make what is expected of you some sort of sliding scale decided each morning by pagan with no morals, you get what we have today. No one can force a person to love God, but His ways are what make a good citizen. God’s people will always be different than the inhabitants at large. I believe people are judged and countries are judged, just not at the same time. We are judged at death and counties are judged right now. As we watch our country falling into judgement, there will always be a remnant of believers that will be judged individually. I’m not calling for people to be forced into Christianity, but that our country be unmistakeably ruled by Biblical Law.
