Dr Kari Poikolainen, who used to work for the World Health Organisation as an alcohol expert, examined decades of research into its effects.

The old “DRINK 1 BEER AN HOUR” based on
24 hrs in day/ 24 beers in a case....Do the math.
I believed in the 1 beer a day method, and though I haven’t had a drink since 1990, my beer a day formula has me covered through at least 2025 - if not longer - sometimes keeping score was ‘difficult’ although I am officially on record as blowing a ‘3’ on the meter and still standing and talking to the people I was having a robust conversation with. They didn’t believe the reading.....
I guess, for my livers sake, I quit in the ‘nicotine’(sic).
I also cold turkyed regular Camels 4 packs a day to zip and approximately 1 1/2 cases of Bud a day....stopped them both cold turkey in the same week.......BOY was I a ‘pleasant’ person to be around (so they say).......

LOL! How well I know the feeling! Wife and I cold turkeyed smoking 14 years ago. I never had a single problem, but my wife’s co-workers BEGGED her to take up smoking again! She finally-after a couple of months-got through it!
I think the government needs to measure those glasses to make sure they’re a full pint.

I used to work with a guy who would not drink on the job but we would often go either hunting or shooting on Saturdays. He would always stop at a convenience store and buy a bag of ice and a 24 can pack of Shaefers beer.
By the end of the day he would have almost finished off the entire 24 cans.
Now I would normally never hunt or shoot with someone drinking but I could never tell it affected him at all. I can remember his shooting a great group with his Ruger single six after drinking maybe 12 cans.
I don’t drink so don’t know exactly how odd that was but I bet it was unusual.
