A judge has ordered a man convicted of harassing a neighbor and her disabled children to stand on a street corner with a sign that says he is a bully.
Municipal Court Judge Gayle Williams-Byers ordered 62-year-old Edmond Aviv to hold the sign for five hours Sunday. The sign reads: I AM A BULLY! I pick on children that are disabled, and I am intolerant of those that are different from myself. My actions do not reflect an appreciation for the diverse South Euclid community that I live in.
The judge also said the signs letters must be large enough for the average person to see from 25 feet away.

Do dat be da judge?
Outstanding.
“That” shouldn’t be used when speaking of humans. Did the judge write the sign or the man?
Let’s get one for Harry Reid.
This sounds like something out of a bad 70’s sitcom.
Yes, the defendant was ordered to be out standing.
Except the great Fields was as light and fleet as a dancer. But he sure did hate kids!
Oops: correction. I read it as W.C. Field was disabled. Oy, am I tired.
I wonder if anyone has ever been ordered to hold a “i am a gang member sign”?
Unfortunately in USA culture judges are forced to be parents and discipline troubled “kids” whose parents didn’t a good job in raising their children.
“Prugh has two adult adopted children with developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy and epilepsy; a husband with dementia; and a paralyzed son, the Plain Dealer of Cleveland reported.”
I pitied myself because I had no shoes...
You’re right; I pity judges and admire them when they dole out deserved punishment.
I LOVE it!

“Prugh said in a letter to the court that Aviv had called her an ethnic slur while she was holding her adopted black children, spit on her several times, regularly threw dog feces on her son’s car windshield and once smeared feces on the family’s wheelchair ramp.”
If these incidents were proven, the guy got off light.
I wonder if the judge understands what irony is.
What a ridiculous judgment, and complete waste of time.
