Julia Louis-Dreyfus blames nude photo on "drunken stupor"

Blame it on a drunken stupor. That's what Toronto Mayor Rob Ford did.

If you pick up the new issue of Rolling Stone, you'll get to see in Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the buff. The 53-year-old "Veep" actress unveiled the magazine's cover photo on Twitter:

She tweeted that she's about to get more Twitter followers -- and she's right. We just started following her.

Her butt-naked appearance coincides with the third season of "Veep," which premiered on Sunday. In the issue, which hits newsstands on Friday, Louis-Dreyfus dishes on the upcoming season (she's thrilled her character gets to curse a lot), her beloved role on "Seinfeld" (which she landed partly because of her "disposition") and the entertainment industry.

"There is sexism -- I'm not denying its existence," she said. "But I'm saying that I will deny its effort against me. I just pay it no nevermind and say, 'Get out of my way.'"

"Veep" airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. ET on HBO.

It’s reaching the point where we have to doubt so much of what we see and hear.

Yeah, regardless of her politics, she’s the funniest woman I’ve ever seen...she was cute and brilliant in Seinfeld.

I’d rather use a branding iron on her just like the other cattle.

I don't mind. To me retouching is just an extension of make-up or going to a hair salon to enhance your hair, for instance. Heck, I retouch my personnel pictures to make them look better.

Also if you are a business you want sell your product which means you might need to "embellish" certain marketing procedures.

I think in certain places in Europe ads need a disclaimer if they were retouched.

$80m is a rounding error compared to $3 billion.

Rosie O'Donnell? Dear God! The dude that played Elaine's boyfriend "Puddy" is sure glad that didn't happen.

My source is Entertainment Weekly, a publication I don’t normally read. But there was a big special souvenir edition for the last Seinfeld episode, with lots of behind-the-scenes information. I think that Jeremy Piven was up for the role of George. One of the would-be Kramers was in the two-part episode about “Jerry”, the TV show that is developed by Jerry. You have to remember that Rosie O’Donnell looked a lot different 25 years ago and had a different image. I think she was basically a stand-up comedienne, wasn’t speaking out on politics or anything.

She looked a somewhat different. True she didn't have her political reputation until many years later. So it's not as laughable as I thought, but it would have bad I think.

Googling it, Patricia Heaton and Megan Mullally were also considered for the role.

I like Jeremy Piven but it's hard to imagine anyone doing better than Jason Alexander in that role. Piven played the actor playing George in "Jerry".

They recast Jerry’s father from the earliest episodes. Rosie may have proven too much to deal with.

It’s a publicity stunt (look at me). she posted a “naked” photo to twitter. The cover (that was shot while she was NOT drunk).

More Hollyweird viral marketing stunts. That’s all. Not so cunning either.
