Did you read the post he was responding to? No.

Dog doors are a great idea if utiiized properly.
When I am not home, the dog door has a metal plate that slides over the opening. Nobody that should be in is out, and no one out gets in.

I hope you have a positive latch on it. Many do not.

I might euthanize the pit bulls and their owners.

I rent and my German Shepherd is an indoors-only dog for the most part.
I’m not worried about liability. For some people, it is a consideration.

Hold the owners responsible. Which is incidentally, why I happen to be against breed-specific laws.

I was down at the pound the other day looking for a dog to replace my old girl who passed on, and I watched and listened to the Veterinarian as he walked down the row of kennels shaking his head and muttering “Pit-bulls and Chiwawas... Pit-bulls and Chiwawas...”.
The damned things are a dime a dozen around here. At the pound and on Craigslist.

The people I know that have doggie doors, have them so they don't have to come home and let their dogs outside for potty breaks. You couldn't give me a doggie door because I have heard too many stories about unwanted
creatures coming inside your house, raccoons, snakes, skunks, squirrels and in one case, a skinny drunk human.

We have a pit and a chihuahua. The Chi rules that pit. If the chi wants the chair the pit gets down. The chi eats first, and play is when he’s in the mood.
The cat, of course, rules them all, with an iron claw.

Not my style. It gets opened when I come home, closes at night before bedtime, opened in the morning and closed before I leave for work.
I want to know where my dogs are.

I think you're shooting for the Willie Green militant ignorance award. I believe you are thinking of Chet99. Willie Green was the mass transit / choo choo train idiot.

How come we never hear about golden retrievers going on a killing rampage?
To: SamAdams76
They do, one attacked my brother and chewed up his masculine parts so badly that all had to be amputated. Another ate a baby, but that doesn’t count, what does count is the one that ate six kittens.

Goldens are smart enough to leave crime scene clues incriminating local Pitt Bulls?

A citation...isn’t that precious? How about a MANDATORY jail sentence for any pit owner whose dog causes any kind of personal or property damage whatsover. 10 days first offense works for me.

I see a pit bull not on a leash and I shoot him dead on the spot You'd run out of ammo here in my little soviet Red Hampshire hamlet. Thugs and their ilk moving in from New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. With a school nearby, it is just a matter of time. Tick, tick, tick...
