I actually heard one of these talking heads the other day state that if the drug mixture is not pure it will violate his “Constitutional right to a painless death.”

I, of course, whipped out my Constitution since this was entirely new on me and I’ll be damned if I can’t find anywhere in the that document or any of the Amendments that states a condemned prisoner has the right to a painless death.

But I did see the “cruel and unusual punishments” part of the 8th Amendment like you mentioned. The thing that gets me with that Amendment is the word “and”.

Not “or”, “and”. This makes me think, if the punishment is cruel, but common, isn’t it still Constitutional? This opens up a lot of options in my opinion, and makes any argument for a painless death irrelevant.

The process is no more cruel than that of putting a beloved diseased pet down. Just a OD of sleep meds will accomplish the elimination of a vermin.

Jesus told the 1 thief who believed in him he would see paradise, the other would see God’s judgement. There is only 1 unforgivable sin and that is to blaspheme the Holy Spirt, or Ghost.

Most criminals profess a conversions to get out of punishment.

Christ has to be in the heart, not mind.

Parent of a murdered child, friend of many who have had their Loved Ones murdered, retired Victims Advocate. Which is more painful the rape and strangulation of a 8 year old or the peaceful OD of sleep meds on the rapist/killer?

GOD will judge their redemption in the end. But justice still has to be carried out! Or you send the wrong message to would be killers, rapist of 8 year old little girls.
