Youve Got A Friend
April 2, 2014
Read: Psalm 23
One of the ironic consequences of the sweeping growth of social media is that we often find ourselves more personally isolated. One online article warns: Those who oppose leading ones life primarily or exclusively online claim that virtual friends are not adequate substitutes for real-world friends, and . . . individuals who substitute virtual friends for physical friends become even lonelier and more depressive than before.
Technology aside, all of us battle with seasons of loneliness, wondering if anyone knows, understands, or cares about the burdens we carry or the struggles we face. But followers of Christ have an assurance that brings comfort to our weary hearts. The comforting presence of the Savior is promised in words that are undeniable, for the psalmist David wrote, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me (Ps. 23:4).
Whether isolated by our own choices, by the cultural trends that surround us, or by the painful losses of life, all who know Christ can rest in the presence of the Shepherd of our hearts. What a friend we have in Jesus!
Ive found a Friend; O such a Friend!
He loved me ere I knew Him;
He drew me with the cords of love,
And thus He bound me to Him. Small
Those who know Jesus as their Friend are never alone.

Welcome To Warm Fuzzy Wednesday
~At Amy's Place~
Early Morning Song by Rachel Lyman Field
Nothing fairer than the light
On petals opening, gold and white,
To the morning, to the blue,
In a world of song and dew.
Nothing fairer than two eyes
That behold with shy surprise
The miracle that no man can stay
Darkness turning into day.
~Wishing You A Warm Wonderful Day~

Thank you, Amy, so much. Spring is hopeful, beautiful (mostly) and desirable for what it brings with it. Longer days, lovely flowers, soft breezes, growth and picnic’s, etc. Not to mention peace for our souls
Time to be outside enjoying the day and God’s world.

One of my clients has a German Shedder.
One day’s shedding could knit a sweater.

Me, too, trish!
Thank you..Hope you are having some spring days, now.
It will be 80 here today...A/C has already been on.
It will be in the 60s this weekend so summer isn’t upon us quite yet...I’m hoping spring lasts longer!

Today is going to be a beautiful "Warm Fuzzy Wednesday".
I will repeat the poem I wrote for my friend several years ago.BENEATH THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS
Beneath the cherry blossoms
I take your arm
And we stroll along the old familiar path.
A single petal floats from the tree above
And softly lands upon my hair.
You pluck it, and put it gently to your lips.
Oh, how I love springtime with you,
When everything is new and fresh
And we are surrounded with the promise of new beginnings.
How I wish you and I could return
To the beginning of our time together,
And capture the springtime of our youth......
And walk together forever, beneath the Cherry Blossoms of Spring.
