Loved To Love
April 9, 2014
Read: Deuteronomy 10:12-22
Dietrich Bonhoeffers life was at risk every day he stayed in Hitlers Germany, but he stayed nonetheless. I imagine he shared the apostle Pauls view that being in heaven was his hearts desire, but staying where he was needed was Gods present purpose (Phil. 1:21). So stay he did; as a pastor he offered clandestine worship services and resisted the evil regime under Hitler.
Despite the daily danger, Bonhoeffer penned Life Togethera book on hospitality as ministry. He put this principle to the test when he lived and worked in a monastic community and when he was imprisoned. Every meal, every task, and every conversation, Bonhoeffer taught, was an opportunity to show Christ to others, even under great stress or strain.
We read in Deuteronomy that just as God ministered to the Israelites who were leaving Egypt, He instructed them to imitate Him by loving and hosting strangers and widows (10:18-19; Ex. 22:21-22). We too are loved by God and empowered by His Spirit to serve Him by serving others in countless ways each day through kind words and actions.
Who on our daily journey seems lonely or lost? We can trust the Lord to enable us to bring them hope and compassion as we live and labor together for Him.
That I may serve Him with a full surrender,
My life a crucible, His eye the test,
Each hour a gift from Him, the gracious Sender,
Each day a pledge to give to Christ my best. Anon.
The more we understand Gods love for us the more love well show to others.

Good Morning MEG,
Hope all well with you today.
The Sun has been out all day.
The Garden now looks like a Garden again, the grass has had its first cut of the year , all the hedges trimmed.
Borders liberated from Weed nirvana.
The Solars (new toy alert) have collected over a kilowatt so far today, with two to thee hours of daylight left to go. (That's the Mower power paid for. :) )
Tomorrow is forcast the same, yippee .

79F, we’re nearly up with you, at 74F.
The toy is quite amusing. I’ve created it to split the power 50/50, when my batteries are charged they get , and pay for, the lot.
Design and self build means that it should pay for itself in only 5 years, instead of the usual 15. So when the Inverter and batteries need changing they hopefully will have paid for themselves.
Summer output to grid should cover the winter low period.
The batteries keep the power on when the grid goes off.
Awaiting ‘official’ permission to expand the system... :D

Bluebells are anytime between now and mid May.
Depending on temperature.
The Daffodils are nearly over so they can't be far off.
My pictures from last year where taken mid season, they are dated 12/05/13.
The new Spanish DNA that has invaded has nearly wiped out the native Bluebell in this area. Personally I prefer the new hybrid.
They look like a blue mini lupin.

I had read about the invasion..Our Bluebonnets are lupines..and they are blooming now in Texas.
It’s a beautiful sight...as are the pictures I have seen of your Bluebells..Our Daffodils have bloomed and gone, too.

Lovely picture, lovely thoughts, idyllic really, few of us ever see we live a idyllic life.
Bow in worship before our LORD. We are immeasurably blessed; still many Americans tend to be unsatisfied with life. America is in danger of slipping away from us, many alive today do not know or understand how blessed we are by God. Read the Bible. God tells us what is going to occur. We are to obey the commandments of our LORD.
When we turn to secular beliefs and political correctness we are turning away for God. Let us repent in truth and and follow our Lord, offering us forgiveness, mercy, loving kindness, hope, grace and salvation. forgiving our sins. Let us worship and praise God and love our fellow man, in Jesus name. amen. Thanking the LORD for our multitude of daily blessings. Forgive us Father, we know not what we do, in Jesus name, amen.
