Although a few posters indulged, it was not coming from me. I am more interested in the cultural-shaping aspects of what is communicated in media, and additionally, the bankruptcy of the hedonist lifestyle. FWIW, your taking the attitude that I couldn’t possibly be informed after you had linked to a single article was an eye-roller for me, but not seriously. Most vanities, and this thread as well, can’t be considered serious except as regards the tragedy of depression and suicide. Before posting, I had read more than 3 dozen related articles in the US and UK press, due to my background in the business aspects of the entertainment industry as much as having been a Stones fan since 1966. I expressed feelings of sadness and concern, but some posters reacted as if I had blamed Jagger for her decision and was demanding UN treaties to ban that song world-wide.
It would be nice to see conservatives come to terms with the power of words and the precision of their meanings, and how propaganda transmitted through entertainment media shapes behavior, even of so-called Christians.

Let’s be honest though. However rich he is, neither of our grandmothers would likely let him through the front door nor let him sit at the dinner table with their minor children. The whole trashy baby mama baby daddy his clan has done for years now. And the kid he denied till he/she was way old enough to understand the goings on.
And 150 years ago neither of them would have been admitted to polite society. The parlors and drawing rooms of the whole city would have been off limits to them. He might have been allowed in the men’s clubs of the time. But wouldn’t have been allowed to any ‘real’ society events and certainly not anyone’s daughter’s wedding.

If jagger and l’wren had still been ‘involved’ to any serious degree I suspect she’d have been invited. So I don’t believe his ‘of course’ statement about their being together still.
