My thinking is to try to change the narrative and incrementally move God out of the picture (so to speak).
What does matter, though, is The Message. The Message is everything. And this is where Aronofsky is the snake in the garden. Using $135 million, he and Paramount have brilliantly and deviously disguised the Pagan god Gaia as the God of the Old Testament as THE God.Meanwhile, the radio ads claim that only some artistic license was taken and that the filmmakers believe their story to be true to Biblical principles.
I ask you, could anything make Satan happier than something that leads people to believe they are saved when they are not?
The Greenies already think they are “the way, and the truth, and the light”...
“atheist director and co-writer Darren Aronofsky”
Well that’s enough for me to never see it.
I won’t be watching it!
And yet the article says the director boasts to making an as un-biblical movie as he could.
Should we not chalk this up to insensitive ignorance?
Seems Noah is a Biblical story targeted for an audience who does not read the Bible.
Not sure I get the demographic there
Wonder who authorized a radio ad claiming the contrary to what the director says.
“Why would somebody spend $135mil to deliberately antagonize their intended customer?”
Because they can.
“Should we not chalk this up to insensitive ignorance?”
I believe Hollyweird only makes movies for other Hollyweirders. They couldn’t care less about the public.
I will rent this once at redbox on bluray, rip it, and watch it at some point.
not interested in paying what they are asking at a theater, especially when we already know the end. Let me guess, he climbs in his boat with a bunch of animals.... Story over
Good point. Kind of like theologically liberal churches.
It’s a lousy movie and not brilliant on any level or for any purpose.
Why would somebody spend $135mil to deliberately antagonize their intended customer?
The intended customer is the ignorant low-information voters and the Leftist voting base.
It is for the purpose of reinforcing their anti-Christian dogma in the minds of the low-info's.
And to make money. Lots of money.
Some of the comments on that article have been posted by antisemites using the “anti-zionist” cloak.
If I was going to spend $135mil to make a movie with a Biblical theme (however it's been perverted) I would not be targeting leftists and atheists and stupid, low info types.
They would rather see something else like Fast and Furious 47 or something sexually perverse.
