Stuyvesant High: Asian-American Domination In Elite Schools Triggers Resentment, Soul Searching
International Business Times ^ | March 26, 2014 | Patrick Ghosh

The rise of Asian-Americans and their dominance in academia may be exemplified by the extraordinary performance of Asian-American students in New York City.

How A Chinese Solar Giant Was Snared In An Italian Fraud Scandal According to recent media reports, Asian-American students account for almost three-fourths of the enrollment at Stuyvesant High School, one of the city's eight specialized, elite public schools that strictly use test scores for admission. Asians represent less than 14 percent of the city's entire public school student body, meaning they are disproportionately represented at Stuyvesant by a magnitude of about five. (In 1970, Asians accounted for only 6 percent of Stuyvesant’s student body.) Whites, including Jewish students whose numbers made them prominent as a group at the school, now represent less than a fourth (24 percent) of Stuyvesant’s enrollment, down from 79 percent in 1970.

The racialists will not be happy until they get to murder everyone not of their tribe.

Ain't that right, Eric Holder?

I figured out what this article is about... Common Core.

It's not fair that some people are smarter or more successful than others, and people who are smarter and more successful need to turn themselves over to "the community" where they can be exploited by the stupid and the failed.

It's only fair.

Like it or not, cultural heritage does make a big difference in your chances of success in life.

12 percent of all American scientists are of Indian
origin; 38 percent of doctors in America are Indian; 36 percent of NASA scientists are Indians; 34 percent of Microsoft employees are Indians; and 28 percent of IBM employees are Indians. Culture based success? Damn right.

Mostly we get the best from Asia. I can see this trend increasing.

It’s all about choices. Some study and work hard, some gang bang and rap.

Results are as expected. And it sure won’t change with the Democratic race pimps overseeing the AA community.

What Holder and Obama don’t seem to learn is if they get there wish the argument will transform into “You are too light skinned black” Kind of a racial purity thing I guess. Happens in Africa between Hutus and other tribes. Happens in Korea. If you are of mixed blood your life is horrible. There are many homogenous countries such as Japan. It seems to be a world wide thing, human condition.

No, it’s only racist if Whites are ignorant of other culture stereotypes.

I'll take Asians into this country all day long. They are smart, they work hard and they contribute greatly to our society.

Much preferable to other "ethic groups" who shall remain unmentioned, who mostly come here to sit on their butts, commit crimes and collect welfare checks.

I’m white and my wife is Japanese (well, now she’s an American), but I’m the one that won’t let her get less than an ‘A’.

I have been buying Chinese food from the same restaurant for the last 20 years. They guy who runs the restaurant is been commuting from Brooklyn to Central Jersey for his 14 hour shifts all time. His son is now a Sophmore at Steyvesant High.

I have watched this kid work in the restaurant since he was five years old. When he was not working in the kitchen, he was studying. He got to Steyvesant with hard work, and he deserves his spot.

Not every Asian who comes to this country is smart, hard-working, or honest. Not by a long shot.

Well is it white or blacks that make up the last 1%?

Please elaborate. I’m sure there are exceptions but my experience is that the majority of them are net assets to our country. Americans would be wise to emulate their work and study ethic.

Those numbers sound skewed. I sincerely doubt 38% of doctors in the U.S. are of Indian descent. I doubt all the other numbers. What is your source?

Of course not,but the odds are in their favor and it’s been that way for many years.

The “whites” in Manhattan are predominately uber-Liberals, raising kids with uber-Liberal attitudes who are predominately not interested in the hard sciences, while their “asian immigrant” and 2nd & 3rd generation Asian kids ARE interested more in the hard sciences.

Translation - it’s not the Asian’s fault, it’s the “white” parents fault
