I respectfully disagree. Been watching sports since 8th grade and I see the make up calls all the time.

maybe not you, but there are refs that do.

Latest is that there are 3 perfect brackets - checked 2 of them, they crapped on the Stanford game. The last one is a hidden bracket, so I don't know if it is still in the hunt.

Virginny #1 seed and Coastal Carolina #16? And CC is up right now. This would be something. I can not stay up and watch the last game. I did decide to try to pick an upset with Tulsa over UCLA... so maybe I jinxed them. Nice colored uniforms Coastal Carolina wear.

Oh, Virginia just went up a point.

Sure I can:

The aftermath of the lacrosse case. They crucified those boys. By all accounts, Mike Pressler, the lacrosse coach, was a good man. Coach K could have stood up for Pressler and thrown his weight around. He didn't. That is a lack of integrity on the part of Coach K.

Every one of the professors who signed that letter condemning those boys is still employed. Duke can burn to the ground for all I care.

by that standard, you would have to hate almost every single university in the nation. They are almost all run by insufferable liberals.

Nice try.

Bio, Coach K: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Krzyzewski , I think he coached our Olympic squad as well.

“In the article it noted that Mike Krzyzewski (Coach K) also has the title of special assistant to the Duke President. In his interview with Costas, Krzyzewski mentions that he did not speak out in the spring of 2006 in part because the Duke President did not ask him to.”

In my broken up brackets, I’d watch both Michigan and Michigan St. To me, it looks like they both should be able to get fairly far in the tournament.

I predict tomorrow Kentucky ends Wichita State’s run.

Turns out the SEC isn’t as weak as some think.

I will never cheer the exploits of a Harvard as a University however as a basketball team, they came from 10 back, made it a game vs. Michigan St. and might have won it if they didn’t become totally snakebit in the last 2 minutes. It was almost a Hoosiers-like comeback.

Just a change of subject, sorry, our World Cup group is Ghana, Germany and Portugal. That’s really going to be rough for our USA team and I saw an article earlier on how Ronaldo needs to make an impression to be considered an all-time great, he probably will already. Also, Portugal has historic ties with Brazil, so that is probably a semi-home advantage for Portugal but on the other hand, it is a game in our hemisphere.

But as they say, to be the best, you have to beat the best.

So, I’ll cheer USA no matter what, scheming, one would need to defeat Ghana and then, perhaps a draw against Portugal, that might see us through. I don’t consider impossible for us to get a result vs. Germany.
