A father, mother and daughter from a posh Chicago suburb stole $7 million in merchandise during a decadelong shoplifting spree traveling to stores nationwide and targeting dolls, toys, cosmetics and other valuables according to a federal complaint released Wednesday.
The three were arrested earlier this week at their $1.3 million Northbrook home after returning from a three-day trip through Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana, where authorities say they shoplifted from stores.
Working in tandem, the family traveled from their Chicago-area residence to hit businesses in multiple states, including Maryland, Tennessee and Florida, according to the 20-page complaint.

Shuffling together in leg chains and orange prison jumpsuits, the Bogdanovs had little to say for themselves when they appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Mason in a downtown courtroom Wednesday.
I understand, a weeping, heavily accented Lela Bogdanov said as her rights were explained to her through an interpreter.
Prosecutors said the family ethnic Romani immigrants from the former Yugoslavia face up to 10 years in prison if convicted and are a flight risk, meaning theyll all stay locked up until at least Monday.
None of them is a stranger to law enforcement. Branko Bogdanov has been arrested for theft, shoplifting, handling stolen goods and burglary in Georgia, Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Colorado during a criminal career that stretches back to the 1970s, public records show.

******** TRANSLATION-— they are a bunch of gypsies
Ya beat me....,.
Couple weeks ago I over-heard a conversation about a broken security camera at a shopping place (not sure exactly where).
Word spreads fast.
Occam’s razor in action! :)
a band of gypsies...
3 people, 10 years, $7 million.
Averages out to each person stealing about $636 EVERY SINGLE DAY.
That’s a heck of a work ethic...
Gypsies in the palace.
“...ethnic Romani immigrants from the former Yugoslavia...”
Say no more.
Why did we let these people stay and commit crimes in this country for so many years?
Just stealing the stuff Americans won’t steal.
Averages out to each person stealing about $636 EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Thats a heck of a work ethic...
Amateurs! They've got nothing on Obama!
ebay is greatly saddened at their loss of commissions.
Quintessential thieving Gypsies.
Just remember, ebay wont let you leave negative feedback for them!
Gypsies, tramps and thieves...
Back in the mid 90’s I heard a radio report about gypsies stealing babies from villages in northern Italy. Was on AFRTS out of Italy or I would have called BS if it was just a wire story. I always thought those stories were mostly made up to make gypsies look bad. I know some probably did happen but it sounds so early 20th Century.
What about Branko Bama?
I aint worried about him, he's the president of England, let the Brits worry about him and his meddling in the Ukraine.
