Two up in the air, two down? Couple spend £40,000 transforming the first floor of their terraced home into a Boeing 737 aeroplane and it has got so big they are moving it to an industrial unit
A couple who are obsessed with aeroplanes have spent £40,000 turning the upstairs of their terraced home into an exact replica of a Boeing 737.
Steve and Vicky Everson, from Bacup, Lancashire, transformed the first floor of their house into an aeroplane complete with a cockpit and flight deck.
Their passion for aviation started around five years ago after they redesigned the spare room at their former home in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, into a flight simulator.

Coupla wing nuts...
Hate to tell them but they could buy a scraped 737 fuselage for less than that (200 or a 300 for sure, maybe a 400).
They did all that, created a virtual 737 that does most everything but fly, for a measley 40K British Pounds? To me, that’s more of a wonder than the finished project. A mid-range automobile will set you back more than 40K.
Not sure about the “scraped” aspect, but that strikes me as an awful lot of pounds of aviation grade aluminum for a few hundred bucks. Ordinary scrap sheet aluminum is selling for around $0.77 per pound these days? How many tons does a 737 fuselage weigh? Hot dang! I’m going into the scrape business!
Wow, reading the story was a relief. From the headline I thought the couple might be the Obamas and the “home” was the White House.
Have they simulated the TSA to complete the flight experience?
Alien anal probe.
