New Jersey teenager Rachel Canning, 18, lost a lawsuit asking her parents to pay her child support. Canning, however, is still hoping that the judge will order them to pay for her college education. We think black parents would have handled the situation a little differently. We took a survey of The Root staff to find out how our parents would have reacted, and this is what we found:

The friend’s father that is paying for the lawyer to sue gave as his reason, “her parents should pay because they can afford it”.

She looks like an insufferable bitch with the typical liberal "you owe me" attitude. I wonder how her parents feel now about the coddling they gave her growing up. Children who act like her have been raised that way.
She has no handle at all on honoring her father and mother. I can’t remember if it’s the 4th or the 5th commandment. Amazing that the Catholic school in question hasn’t expelled her!

Children suing their married parents for support for college.
If her parents divorce, they can already take the dad for support.
