'Non-Stop' Review: Liam Neeson Thriller Hits New Left-Wing Low (Major Spoiler Alert)
Breitbart.com/Big-Hollywood ^ | 3-1-2014 | John Nolte

**SPOILER ALERT** Most of the suspense and therefore enjoyment of Liam Neeson's new action thriller "Non Stop" comes from trying to figure out who the villain is and why this person is doing what he or she is doing. If you read the rest of this article, it will spoil the entire movie for you. Period. You have been warned.

There is no question that "Non-Stop" is a well-made, involving, not-terribly-dumb action-thriller that delivers plenty of suspense and endears Liam Neeson further into the heart of those of us who love well-made, involving, not-terribly-dumb action-thrillers. "Non-Stop" is a good movie. Heck, it is darn near very good. But the left-wing sucker punch at the end is a new low, even for Hollywood.

Here come the spoilers. You have been warned.

On an international flight over the Atlantic, burnt-out alcoholic flight marshal Bill Marks (Neeson) is hoping for a nice easy flight in first class where after sneaking a smoke and drink he might even be able to catch a little shut-eye. A text message informing him that one person on the flight will die every twenty-minutes unless $150 million is wired to an account, ruins that plan.

Counting pilots and crew, there are around 150 souls on board. Marks has 20 minutes to figure out which one is the bad guy. Red herrings abound. Is it one of the many actors whose faces we recognize but names we can't remember? People start to die. Marks is fingered as the hijacker. Who's doing this? Why are they doing this? What is their motive?

Here's the answer:

I'll go out on a limb here and say this isn't all that horrible in my mind. First, there are a LOT of 9/11 family members out there, and yes, some of them are not (and never were) flag waving patriotic Americans. Out of the thousands and thousands of family members (9/11 did happen in NYC and DC after all) it's not at all inconceivable that one could be crazy enough to fit this story line.

Secondly, having the bearded muslim guy wind up being the terrorist makes for too predictable of a story... having someone else be the star villain makes the plot a little more interesting.

The scary thing: these “all Muslims good, USA families and military bad” propaganda films sound SO COOL poolside in Beverly Hills, where the balding liberal men and greedy younger women discuss them under pergolas of jasmine, drinking kombucha and smoking weed.

What these fame seeking idiots don’t realize is how these films cement those ideas not only into the movie going youth of America but also to our enemies all over the world. Even in the third world these films are seen, and often multiple times, which sears the simple propaganda into their brains.

They are causing future deaths for our people. For their own kids, possibly. It wasn’t just the poor or the right wing aboard those planes on 9/11.

I have been wondering why they are promoting it so hard. I just figured it stank.

Omg. I didn’t know he converted to Islam! No wonder Neeson chose to do this pos film.

What next, a warm bio-pic about the misunderstood Mohamed Atta?

I can't wait until he visits Auschwitz: "the guard towers were so beautiful, it makes me think about becoming a Nazi."

Is that really the same thing? Really?

Liam Neeson is a weak-minded Hollywood whore.

He's an actor. He only has to show up on set half-way sober and half-way on time and speak his lines. Look for anything more from him and you won't find it.

They make movies for each other - one liberal elite for another liberal elite - and to earn ‘prizes’. Then Hollywood throws in enough violence to sell tickets to 14 year old boys and folks in other countries who don’t have time to read subtitles. The movies are crap... they know it. We point it out. One of the reasons they hate us. One of many reasons they hate us.

The villain in the “Non Stop” movie is the 9/11 family member on board. And by the way, spoiler alert.

Do you honestly think that all of the thousands and thousands of 9/11 "family members" are mentally stable, conservative America-loving folks? Do you even think that a majority of them fit that qualification?

If they made the villain out to be a TEA Party type, then yes, I would be offended... but they didn't.

You people are getting yourselves all in a snit over nothing... and making yourselves sound pretty stupid in the process.

My google research quickly told me that he did. Not openly but quietly. He’s a muzzie.

Well, let's see - an ideology that seeks to dominate the world by force, promotes mass murder and genocide, and blames Jews for all the evils in the world, but, hey, occasionally has some pretty music. Yep, I'm thinking pretty much the same damn thing.

Wow. I can't believe I read that on FR. I really don't care what percentage of 9/11 families are stable or not stable.

I do not like, and will not accept, using those poor victims in this way. Please do not reply to me. No offense, but I really don't want to debate this with you.

This has got to be the dumbest rationalization for an agenda-driven plotline I have ever seen. If the movie were about a 9/11 family member hijacking aplane full of Muslims and killing them, I might agree with you. But the idea that a 9/11 family member would react to the death of one of his family members by doing EXACTLY the same thing that the killers did is so ludicrous that only a Hollywood imbecile would even conceive of it.

Here's a summary of the plotline you are defending: "I was so pissed off at the peoplee who killed my brother that I went out and killed my dad. That'll show those bastards. And if they don't do more to stop the deaths of my family members, I'll kill one of my cousins each 20 minutes until they do."

"The Northern Irish actor thinks Islam “is the answer” after experiencing..."
But the 61-year-old doesn’t want to go all the way because people in Ballymena, Co Antrim, may be annoyed with his decision.

It's sad when outrageous gossip rags are used as straight news "reporting." His words were taken out of context and the words printed seem more like the answer to a hypothetical; an opinion of the writer, couched as a direct quote.
Not defending the clueless actor, but I'm surprised he doesn't seem to exercise much judgment.

And no, you couldn't pay me to watch this movie.

A lot of the family members have proven to be jerks in the past dozen or so years. Like this group working with the ACLU against the death penalty:

link

Or, how about this group which speaks out AGAINST our "torture" of the poor terrorists?

link

How about the survivors (atheist group) who sued to try and stop having a cross installed at a 9-11 memorial?

link

How about this family member who is now dedicating her life to defending Muslims and fighting bad perceptions about Muslims?

link

Sorry, but the scenario the movie depicts isn't outlandish in one bit. Being related to a 9-11 victim didn't make everyone suddenly become pro-American or more sane than they were prior. In fact, that event seems to have given some of these people an excuse for their being and given them "purpose" in life.

I really didn't want to debate it, but you are so off-base it isn't even funny. 9/11 isn't ancient history. It's part of an ongoing war that we might yet lose. Certainly, there are 9/11 family members who are less than perfect. And I'm sure there are criminals among them.

But to make a 9/11 victim as a airplane terrorist is reprehensible. It is as reprehensible as making a movie in 1944 with USS Arizona survivors as evil agents of the Japanese.
