visited 8 states (3.55%)

It's hard to take anyone seriously who doesn't know the difference between a "state" and a "country".

What makes you think I don’t know the difference? Are you talking about my profile? I didn’t generate the text that way. This was created using some website that I do not remember.

But, anyway, nice try at attacking me. Now go lick some boots.

PS. A “state” and a “country” can mean the same thing. Why else do you think we name it the State Department. According to you, this would be called the Country Department?

I have been to Canada, Mexico, Iraq, Kuwait, South Korea, Germany, France, and the U.S.

You might want to educate yourself about the term 'state'. Here, try the wikipedia entry for State:

"State commonly refers to either the present condition of a system or entity, or to a governed entity (such as a country) or sub-entity (such as an autonomous territory of a country)."

Are you one of those people who think that the term 'state' only applies to U.S. states? If so, consider yourself corrected.

Now, did you have anything to actually add to the topic at hand? Other than calling the lady harassed by the police a 'screaming bimbette'?

FYI those are known as "countries" -- not states.

And you want us to take you seriously???

You are wrong. They may also be referred to as states. Either term works in this case.

Every country is a state, but not every state is a country. What part of this do you fail to understand?

It means that the officer can either arrest you or just give you a citation or just a warning but before he decides which one he wants to know your name.

Failure to give your name at that point will make his decision easier.

So we are all “subject to arrest” at all times.

You do see the problem with that, right?

Failure to identify yourself becomes an additional offense.

Gak!

As tens of millions here illegally run though the streets in every state, while government at all levels offer them tax paid prizes and gifts....

Go get those bad Americans Uncle Chip...

Gezzzz..

“English as a second language.”

I think you’re on to something. When I read that he said, “And I’m glad that I’m here having to address mediocrity,”, I thought he really meant to say something about addressing a non-issue. Instead, he chooses “mediocrity”, which is completely inappropriate in this instance.

Ain’t diversity great? The city has a chief who’s (1) a minority and (2) illiterate. God bless America.

It’s the way it is — I don’t make the laws.

But I am smart enough to know that if I’m stopped by LE that I do myself well by cooperating — and giving them my name is the least I can do to cooperate.

Had the bimbette in this story done that she would probably not have been cited or detained for long.

28 people were stopped that day — only 7 received citations — and only 1 was arrested.
