Not so fast, there, Meryl Streep: Did you know that that Walt Disney was a misogynistic Jew-hater?

Did you know that that Uncle Walt Disney was a misogynistic Jew-hater?

I didn't either until Meryl Streep informed me and the rest of the world of those purported facts the other day at one of those gatherings where the glitterati touch each other's, er rather, pat each other on the back and spout drivel.

Former Reagan speechwriter Clark S. Judge finds such notions fatuous:

...I was dismayed...when...Disney (was called) a "gender bigot" and an anti-Semite....[since] [t]he lead animator in Bambi...was a woman....[and he] had numerous Jewish friends, business associates and employees, supported a number of Jewish charities and in 1955 was named the Beverly Hill's B'nai B'rith's Man of the year.

Mr. Judge goes on to say:

As a child, one of my [Jewish] friends played in Disney's office.  His father was in charge of some critical operations at the Disney studios.  His mother was the model for Snow White.

It seems Disney was such a "gender bigot" that he refused to give significant positions to wimmin.  Oh, wait:

I thought Meryl Streep was a fantastic actress in Sophie’s Choice, which IMHO was a very well done movie.

I’ve never liked her in anything else.

“I’ve never liked her in anything else.”

I’ve liked her in just about everything she ever did.
She is a great actress.

Did she do Margaret Thatcher well in the IRON LADY? She won her 4th Oscar for that.

Glad to see some about this. And I agree with the assessment. Anyone anti-commie is also anti- this and anti-that. Make them seem bad as possible. And keep REPEATING THE LIE.

I also like that final statement. Anything iconically American is corrupt to these disgusting commies.

She did pretty well.

Hate her politics, as well as 99% of actors’.

Other than playing pretend in front of a camera quite well what makes her so special?

If acting is “playing pretend” in front of a camera then she’s damned good at it.

That’s all I care to know about her.

She did as well as she could with such a lousy script.

she ruined Mama Mia. Maybe not her fault, she was way to old for the part.

When you act you are pretending to be someone or something else.

“Maybe not her fault, she was way to old for the part. “

Too old? She was probably in her mid fifties when she made that movie. A good age for mother-of-the bride IMHO.

RE: she ruined Mama Mia. Maybe not her fault, she was way to old for the part.

The movie went on to make $609 Million anyway (From a production budget of about $52 Million).

Still one of the highest grossing musicals ever.

I try to avoid Meryl Streep, if at all possible. I suppose she is a great actress; but, I know it sounds weird; but, it is the perfection, every damn time, that makes me not like her stuff. I watch her, she is an actress playing a part very well. But, she seems cold to me on screen. Personal taste, I suppose.

That being said, I loved her as Julia Child.

Hollywood...and the majority of people who work there...have very low moral standards. The best thing that could happen to our country would be if Hollywood went out of business. Many parts of the World have very perverted views of us because of hollywood.
