Don’t Try This at Home: Swedish Hunter Opens Beer With a Shotgun

A Swedish hunter has provided new insight into how to open a bottle of beer – by shooting its cap off with a shotgun.

Carlsberg-loving Anders Rodenberg uploaded a video to YouTube showing him perform the dangerous stunt.

‘Real men drink beer,’ he says in the clip, before holding the bottle of Carlsberg at arms-length and firing the shotgun, blowing off the lid.

The 15-second video, titled ‘How to open a beer in Sweden part II’, has attracted over 18,000 views and some negative comments.

Many have branded the stunt as ‘stupid’, but some admired his skills.

One YouTube user said: ‘This was a really stupid thing to do safety wise, but also mildly impressive.‘

Yeah, I been stuck outdoors with no bottle opener too. You can use your friend's teeth if he happens to be asleep.

Or so I've heard.

Can anyone identify the shotgun?

CNN thinks it may have been an AR15.

I’ll say it works! And it wasn’t wasted on Carlsberg, either!

A frame by frame analysis indicates that beer was spilled.

Better to use something like this:

After a few beers, it still works safely.

What makes this stupid is that the beer costs $10 per can. Sweden has highest booze tax, and highest booze prices, on the planet. Pretty expensive misfire

Joke in Sweden is that Finland and Denmark were created so Swedes can get cheap booze.

Valmet, Finnish made. You can tell by the profile of the receiver and the top latch. It’s a a bit of a Kreighoff K32 clone, but a lot less expensive.
