Yeah, I’ve seen some church fires in my time as well. Guess it goes both ways.
Here in N W WA they don’t even serve alcohol, just soft drinks. I don’t know why.
I think that this is a bad idea for a number of reasons. A titty bar is just that. Sometimes prostitution activity does go on, or else contacts are made for meetings later, off premises. But some men just want to be served by a topless woman. I think that some people use them for entertaining business clients, although I would think that this might backfire, too. They may find that a lot of these cars are borrowed, rented, car shares or company cars. Around here some dopey people don’t even change the registration when they sell a car(I had never heard of this—where I come from its the first thing you do when a vehicle changes hands.)
Around here the latest adult entertainment craze is bikini barista stands. It’s gotten so regular espresso drive ups have signs up saying “family friendly” so people who really just want coffee will know the difference.
Wow. That's pretty depressing. And I like pretty girls as much as the next guy.
I guess the way they look at it is you can be tolerant of it in your neighborhood if you want to.
It’s easy for you or me to talk tolerance when it ain’t happening to us.
I saw that recently on a travel show about Chile. Apparently it's been pretty common down there years.
We don't have those around here, but I can imagine a drive-up topless venue in Missouri this time of year could produce some impressive tips.
Years ago in Fort Lauderdale, along US 1, they had “R-Donuts”, which was a topless donut shop.
A woman who dances naked in front of a man is exploiting his weakness for money/profit. Strippers are not victims, strippers are legal sexual predators.
This of course does not negate the man's responsibility for his own sin.
A stripper knows what she is doing. I know a lady who was a stripper and she told me outright that she was well aware of the fact that she was using her power over a man via his weakness to get money out of him. Her conscience bothered her eventually she had to get out of it.
Here in Maine, there was a motel a two or three hour drive from me called “The Grandview.” (Appropriate name).
The owner decided to turn the business into a topless donut/coffee shop. He received permission from the local governmental types to open this type of establishment and when the business was opened, the local media here in Maine reported on the business in length.
The TV news showed a woman, from behind, carrying a glass pot of coffee....she was wearing bikini bottoms and nothing else. Men also worked there....all they wore were a pair of boxer briefs.....something for the female customers I guess!
It wasn’t long before the place burned down. It wasn’t because of a crusading ultra-religious outraged member of the community. A boyfriend of one of the topless waitresses was jealous because he thought his girlfriend was having a fling with the guy who owned the topless donut/coffee house, and he set fire to the place.
Back when I lived in Atlanta, the strip clubs used to look forward to a surge in business every year when a certain convention came to town, The Southern Baptist Convention. A buddy of mine moonlighted as security at Cheetah (near the Varsity) the door counts were always above average during the SBC conventions.
Why kind of slutty, dirty, horrible women would work in a place like that? (and their customers are too)
If you want to know what somebody is guilty of, pay attention to what they are making a big deal about.
Their lives are nearly always sad, Very rarely a good ending for these girls.
Tips! LOL
There was a very nice barmaid in Vegas who could place a quarter on her boob, flex her muscles a certain way and it would land in your drink every time.
Like I said, it gets so old hat boring that flipping quarters becomes no big deal.
Umm, that could be taken a couple of ways :)
I tend to see it that way myself.
A pastor from a big Baptist church in downtown Everett got busted for soliciting a teenage prostitute in Seattle last year. He either resigned or was let go and I don’t know where he is now. I never went to that church but he may have been a good pastor and a good man who just had a moment of weakness.
The bikini barista world is not all fun and games. Some of the same people operate them in s. King county, places like Renton and Kent. One of the proprietors disappeared in Nevada a few years back. One of his stands was at 21st and Broadway and I used to walk by it. Unlike other stands where the windows are pretty obscured, the girl, in a skimpy bikini was lounging in the window. I’m thinking “I’m going to Safeway at 1:30 in the afternoon and this is what I imagine Amsterdam to be like.” I can’t afford to go to the real Amsterdam. Anyway, that one has gone full circle. It was family friendly when I lived in N. Everett in the 90s and now is again. A cop got in trouble for alerting the girls to potential busts. For this he got sexual favors. Normally I guess what goes on is the girls give shows, often 2 girls, with whipped cream(how handy) and stuff and the customers pay big bucks to see this. I have to admit that this was a beautiful girl, not hard-looking like so many Everett women are.
Hillbilly Hotties, at 41st and Hoyt, has been plagued with robberies, by a 16 y/o punk and his accomplice. It is part of the bikini barista empire of a woman connected to the Colacucurio (sp) family who used to run a lot of strip clubs in King and Snohomish co. The problem with their clubs was that they didnt pay the dancers but in fact charged them. Then they had to earn back enough with lap dances etc. to go back in the black. I’m such an awful salesperson, I would never make it in this. But it does explain why the girls in some clubs are so competitive and aggressive, since they put no limit on the number of girls signed up to dance on a given night.
These pastors, since they have presumably done their homework, would serve us all better if they published a well documented consumer guide to the topless bar establishments.
