Well, I suppose then I will be fired for giving a parent a hug. Liberals have all but destroyed this society.

An adult woman could not handle a gesture of unwanted affection from a teen boy? Really? In a place where she knew she was safe? When he was not being violent or verbally threatening? Liberal women are wusses.

Sorry, I got zero tolerance for this kind of activity.
Don't care how innocent someone said it was, and I didn't ask about gender or race of participants.
There are too many overstimulated students and teachers out there for this to be acceptable in school.
I assume the student's actions were unwanted (sneaking up and grabbing from behind); if not I would want them BOTH kicked out.

Back when Dino's roamed the earth before harassment was in the workplace, I had classmates that did this all the time. The teacher was young ( & some would say hot ), single and she handled my classmates with great wisdom. She couldn't stop them, given the era, but she set boundaries and it never crossed the line, even if they were a corpuscles or raging testosterone.
Different world today...

I was prepared to be outraged but after reading the details it sounds a bit strange to me. Not an innocent hug at all.

Don’t know what to think on this one...
The video I saw showed him coming from mostly the side, say the teacher’s 4 o’clock. I saw no breast groping. Can’t really see if he kissed her neck or not. The second she starts to pull back and push him away, he stops.
A lot of conflicting information. They claim he has been warned before, he and his mom say no. One report has him being a discipline problem, another says he has never been in trouble before.
Both are Amish, so no racial overtones.
I think that the degree of punishment in this offence may be out of proportion to the crime. A week of in house suspension would seem to be more fitting to me.

The student looks like they’re getting suspended and this is killing his semester because of FA (failure due to attendance). This means (usually) he’s had more than 10 days of suspensions (including this offense). He’s a repeat offender.
Lips to a teacher’s neck probably got him 5 days suspension.
We had a student bear hug a petite teacher in my school and he LITERALLY cracked a rib of hers. Students (and teachers) should automatically know to stay away from each other - it’s lawsuit juice.

All schools should be decentralized. We have the technology for kids to learn at home at their own pace.

A little misleading title. A hug from behind with lips on the neck is not a goodbbye teacher hug.

My memory from my working days is you get one free hug. If you’re told not to do it again and you do it anyway, that’s harrassment.

The schools these days are a source of more horse sh*t than education.
