DULUTH, Ga. (CBS Atlanta) - A high school senior wont graduate on time after being suspended for one year for hugging a teacher in November.
Last week, a Duluth High School hearing officer found that Sam McNair violated the Gwinnett County Public Schools rules on sexual harassment.
Something so innocent can be perceived as something totally opposite, McNair told WGCL.
A surveillance camera captured when McNair entered a room, placing his arms around the back and front of the teacher and tuck his head behind her neck. The teacher alleged in a discipline report that McNairs cheeks and lips touched the back of her neck and cheek, according to WGCL.
The 17-year-old denied that he sexually harassed his teacher and that he kissed her. He said that he has never been disciplined for hugging teachers in the past.

This country is going down the tubes fast
The “kid” sounds like a real a**hole.
A little misleading title. A hug from behind with lips on the neck is not a goodbbye teacher hug.
A “swift jab” would have gotten her fired and sued.
I’m pretty sure this kid was a little jerk with a reputation and got what he asked for.
Yet liberals try to say that conservatives are the ones who are sexually repressed.
Not all hugs are sexual except to sexually obsessive leftys.
Yeah you are right. He probably should have been kicked out way before this incident.
Point well made.
My memory from my working days is you get one free hug. If you’re told not to do it again and you do it anyway, that’s harrassment.
Did you read the rest of my post you ninny? I’m guessing not.

The kid’s creepy.
What a load of crap...
The schools these days are a source of more horse sh*t than education.
