Freak, illogical, yet totally believable result of global warming. Oh, however shall we compensate those affected because of those bastard oil companies, coal burning aficionados and those damned gas-guzzler drivers?

Very ironic and timely. Forecast by Accuweather (State College) on a day when PSU basketball returns to Rec Hall for one game (Princeton today at 2PM on the BTN). The last game at Rec Hall - 17 years ago - was during a blizzard.

A rare piece of good writing by Dave Jones on this was in yesterday's Patriot News.

According to the weather map, it looks like you can count on snow. Here in the Hudson Valley of NYS, we're expecting 8 to 12" with 14+" in the surrounding hill towns.

Were waiting for the snow here in Buffalo. The lake effect however has already hit south of us. One area has 50 inches.

It was flaking out there a while ago, and remains overcast, but there’s diffuse sunlight. We’ve had nasty driving and constant snow, but accumulation has been pretty light. The extreme cold is a good sign — it really needs to warm up before it snows, at least here in Michigan.
