Newlyweds just three weeks removed from their wedding day lured a Pennsylvania man to his death with a Craigslist ad because they wanted to kill someone together, police said.

Elytte Barbour told officers before his arrest Friday night that he and his wife, Miranda, had planned to kill before but their plans never worked out until last month when Troy LaFerrara responded to an online posting that promised companionship in return for money.

I think I saw the film: “A Perfect Getaway,” staring Milla Jovovich.

I do not support the death penalty for very many crimes, but “thrill killing” is certainly one of them.

If Pa does not have the death penalty I bet we could get enough volunteers to make sure these 2 understand what their victims felt

Barbour said his wife made anywhere from $50 to $850 for meeting with men for such activities as having dinner or walking around a mall.

Hard to tell from one photo I suppose, but I wouldn't pay five buck to hang out with her.

The last line of the article is particularly chilling. It sounds like the black widow has been down this road before. They both need to swing and create two less Obama voters in Pennsylvania.

Definitely pre meditated. No use doing reduced sentence for a plea. Give em the chair. Unfortunately Pa only uses injection method. I’d make that injection by ice pick.

If this killing had happened 100 years ago, the couple would likely have been tried, convicted, and executed in less than 12 months. Their swift apprehension, conviction, and disposal would have served as a message to the crazies and perverts that society will not tolerate this behavior and punishment will be both swift and permanent.

Today it will be more than a year before the trial. Even if convicted they will be appealing whatever punishment they receive for decades. Should they receive the death penalty, in Pennsylvania it is doubtful it will be applied and certainly not for the female.

Perhaps when the Chinese take over, justice will be swift and certain.

In that photo, near the middle of the state is that blue section. Guess where Sunbury is.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has the death penalty on the books and a large number of perps on death row. The only ones actually executed, however, are a handful who actively resist going through the endless appeals process.

So I guess you could say that we're the poster boy for the "death penalty doesn't deter anybody" crowd. Yeah, it doesn't for precisely the reason that it never gets carried out . . . except on a handful of perps actively willing to take the punishment they know they deserve.

Sunbury is not in the blue county. The blue county is Dauphin, home of Harrisburg.

I don’t know about that. The Craigslist Telegraph was notoriously slow.
