Seems like a vicious circle, much like abuse leads to a vicious circle with wounded girls (for instance) having a subconcious attraction to abusive men because they want to find and finally please somebody just like their abusive dad. It’s a wound looking for healing in all the wrong places. Not a conscious choice but one seated in their deepest longings.

How good it is that the Lord knows our deepest longings. He knows how we have been hurt and He is able to open up the wound, disinfect it with truth, and grow new healthy flesh through His love which is everything that fallen humans can never be for us.

So much of the political banter leaves me feeling hopeless. People who argue on the boards are so entrenched in their own worldview that they don’t change. But out in the everyday world there are hurting people whose pain eventually reaches a point where it is unbearable and change HAS to happen. Those people who have the Word of God presented to them have an awesome opportunity to be given new life. It’s every bit as miraculous as resurrection, and it is happening every day.

It is SO important that the Word of God not be snuffed out among us. The devil really wants to silence us and remove the opportunity for resurrection, so he can keep people ensnared. That’s one way that the “political” battle intersects the spiritual battle. Satan is the Father of Lies, and he uses political lies as well as spiritual lies to try to silence the Gospel and keep people ensnared. I pray that the Lord will give us all wisdom, courage, and faithfulness to engage in the important battles and to do so in a way that offers life and hope to those trapped.

Awesome post - It is so sad to see that the left thinks that forcing us to accept their lifestyle will bring healing when that could not be further from the truth. The acceptance they desire and the love they need are already waiting and that is a personal love and acceptance from Jesus. Him calling them home, hearing their name on His lips this is what they need.

So much of the political banter leaves me feeling hopeless. People who argue on the boards are so entrenched in their own worldview that they don’t change.

I have been dealing with this for the past 12 or so hours on multiple FB discussions, both times involving homosexuals and transgenders. So very sad; they truly believe they're born that way and that anyone who doesn't like it wants to murder all of them. Insane.
