When I was Elementary School Age, I watched “Victory at Sea”

So did I--there was a lot of WW2 programming on when I was growing up. I don't remember NOT knowing about Pearl Harbor or the Holocaust. I didn't first encounter them in school.

What's sad is now all they teach about WWII is Dresden, Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Internment Camps, as if we were the bad guys.

And to top it off, my Dad was a navy photographer.

I grew up looking at original, unpublished, and un-retouched photos of the battle of Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and The Solomon Islands.

Not to mention a secret war against Mao that the Navy was involved with in China. Really.
