As a young Airman, about 19-20 years old, my friends and I would hit the chowhall and meet afterwards in the dorm and watch “The Transformers” and sometimes also “GI Joe.”
There was a lot of beer involved.
I honestly believe that if someone tried to play something like “My Little Pony” they’d get their butt thrown out the window after a severe beat down.
LOL, those were the days.

Just to point out the ridiculousness of our current military’s policy. I think Monty Python did something similar.
