I have no idea what to make of this list as it makes not a whole lot of sense. Nonetheless, I post it here for you all to make even less sense of.

wait a minute - shouldn’t WASHINGTON DC top this list? Isn’t that where the smartest people are?

I when back and read the article when I didn’t find place like Los Alamos NM on the list. Fargo is the that stuned me. It is based on people who had played several Lumosity brain-training games.

I have played these games mainly while traveling. They make you think.

Torrington, CT? Really? “Smart” must mean dilapidated homes and vacant factories.

data from more than 3 million people in the U.S. between the ages of 18 and 75 who had played several Lumosity brain-training games

I see -- so their motives for those little "games" were something other than stated. They even had a cute girl in internet ads.

Things are never as they seem on the internet.

Dollars to donuts, the majority of the top 100 have a very liberal liberal-arts college nearby!

Is the Los Alamos/White Rock metropolitan area not considered a ‘city?’

Nonsense. Atlanta should be prominently represented, since it is the computing hub of the entire Southeastern United States. It is also the home city of the Center for Disease Control, sporting 14,000 employees in Atlanta alone. The CDC has as an AVERAGE level of education of Master of Sciences. There are many PhDs there. It is also a structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering hub.

They are all college towns. Six of the top ten are in the Big Ten.

Burlington, NC. You must be kidding me. At least 40% of the population doesn’t speak English and 30% of the rest think BBQ comes from the grocery store. I am soooo ashamed.

Boulder, CO, is on the list ? It is full or retards! Colorado Springs and southeastern Denver has 99% of the brainiacs in Colorado. Boulder couldn’t support Apple or Sun Microsystems so they closed. The other places I mentioned have a vast amount of aerospace, telecom, aviation, etc.

I saw this on FB and someone posted that Auburn was the smartest city in AL. Found it interesting so did a search. Every site I went on said Huntsville was the smartest in different studies. Nothing against Auburn since I love AU but that study only shows the Lumosity users.. I doubt if very many people from here use Lumosity. I have seen ads for them but never checked into it. B’ham was way down on the lists.
