LOS ANGELES, April 3, 2013 — Atlanta is now educational ground zero. A school cheating scandal shows that teachers have been altering grades to pass failing students. 84 teachers and one principal have been indicted on felony charges.
As shocking as this scandal is, comments by liberal political analyst Julie Roginsky on Fox News should make eyeballs pop wide open.
Ms. Roginsky began with her normal liberal spin. No Child Left Behind caused the problem. Liberal school district corruption is therefore all George W. Bush’s fault. While this is laughable partisan hackery, what came next out of her mouth was truly destructive.
Pretending to make a “conservative” argument against national standards, she insisted that children in Harlem should not be expected to take the same tests as children in Greenwich, Connecticut.
