Uh, Coppers are live-bearers and Black Rats are egg layers.
Hybridization is physically impossible.

And Black Rats delight in eating Coppers.
Doubly impossible.

Enjoy the rodents who will be flooding your property when bird mating season ends.

You should see the locals stroke out every time a Corn Or Milk snake slithers by...or heaven forfend, a Hognose or brown water snake.

I promise you that they will not form themselves in Hula Hoops and chase you down.
[OMG...I’ve heard everything now]

In the hardware store one day several of the Indian motel owners were in one of the aisles shopping and talking. I heard a shriek and all of a sudden people were trying to climb over the gondolas. When I got there I saw a 4 foot Red Rat snake crawling along, just reached down, grabbed it and put it around my neck. You would have thought I was Jungle Jim, LOL, all those Patels were impressed!
We always had a few Rat Snakes hanging out in the warehouse, they are gentle critters unless you're on the menu. They really don't like to bite, their mouth isn't made for biting big stuff and they can lose teeth.
There are always a few around the yard, I welcome them.

A black rat snake lived in my walls until the jerk up the ridge ran over him in front of my house.
[nearly hitting my car in the process]
He was the one who curled around my feet when my Ball Python was lost.
I still think he was telling me to get that big yellow idiot snake-wannabe out of his territory.
:D
He didn’t freak out whenever I’d pick him up and carry him outside.
[probably because he knew he’d just come back in later]

Well, there’s this one who keeps offering me apples. I’m not so sure about him...
