A good follow-up question for Charles Rose to ask could have been “How did your family feel about a ‘search for god’ by the men on the ground who were left to fight without air cover during the Bay of Pigs”?AMEN!
The deification of Johnny Kennedy is disgusting (and he even has some fans here on Free Republic). For those of us old enough to remember his evil administration, he ranks among the worst of all presidents, in the same category as Franklin Diablo Roosevelt and the current occupant. JFK acquiesced to commies and was a pushover for Krushchev and Castro. Had Nixon, then a fierce fighter against the Soviets and Red China, won in 1960, Cuba would be a free nation and our victory would have been assured in Vietnam.
I'm sorry but there's not going to be any praise from me about Johnny Kennedy and his corrupt clan. Sure, he may have lowered taxes but that doesn't begin to offset the evil he allowed to flourish on his watch.
