With President Barack Obama endorsing sweeping gun restrictions in the wake of the school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, prices for handgun magazines are surging on EBay and semi-automatic rifles are sold out at many Wal-Mart Stores Inc. locations.
Wal-Mart, the worlds largest retailer, said yesterday that it would continue to sell guns, including rifles like the one used at Newtown, where 26 people, most of them children, were killed on Dec. 14. By contrast, Dicks Sporting Goods Inc. suspended sales of similar guns at its more than 500 stores.
Searches of five kinds of semi-automatic rifles on Wal- Marts website showed them to be out of stock at stores in five states, including Pennsylvania, Kansas and Alabama. Wal-Mart doesnt sell guns online, instead asking customers to input a zip code to see if their local store carries a specific weapon.
We remain dedicated to the safe and responsible sale of firearms in areas of the country where they are sold, David Tovar, a spokesman for Wal-Mart, said Tuesday.

I've got 10 clips for my thumb-eater, and that seems like plenty. I sure wish I had some more magazines, though.

Ammo clips? Ebay?
I thought Ebay prohibited all gun related sales.
I know you can get optics and stuff like that.
Ammo will be as well. I’m nos stocking up and I didn’t get more clips. Really.
I don’t know why the federal government is jonesing to start a shooting war with the American People. They must be bad at math.
Academy has removed all tactical type semi’s long guns from their website since yesterday.
My wife called me from a local Walmart today to see if I needed anything. She said the ammo case was nearly empty. I asked her to get some 22 LR, they didn’t have any. I asked for 9mm she told me they had some for $29.99 for 50 rounds. I told her thankyou but no thankyou.
Ebay reversed its gun policy in May and is selling gun parts and accessories again
Thanks.
Well, the Garand en-bloc clips hold fewer than 10, so they’d be okay.
I wish one of these fools would write the law banning high capacity “clips.”
Wait and see, they’ll ban “army” rifles and the Garands will be destroyed while Browning BARs in .300 win mag will be legal.
Honestly, if the government thinks they are going to make people less dangerous by banning a little 5.56 or 9mm magazines won’t protect against a Mossberg 500 or Browning BAR in .300 win mag, they’ve got another thing coming.
Oh, anybody reading this? I live in Vanuatu. Come visit, we'll go shooting.
You can still get magazines and other parts on eBay as long as it is not part of the actual gun assembly. (Uppers and lower parts are out, stocks, optics, magazines, and even trigger assemblies can still be found there however.)
Again I ask like I did on a liberal website. Who’s going to take our guns? Police? FBI? US military? UN? What can of worms would be opened at that point? Lots of dead Americans and LEO!
They’re not “clips”, they’re “magazines”.
Got 4 mags for the M1A today

You can sell some firearm parts, but you definitely will not find any 30 round mags. Back in the early days of eBay I bought a really nice German Gewehr 88 rifle for $150. The good old days.

Agreed, but using the terms interchangeably is not right and not a good idea.
