Oh yeah, no Safeway/Kroger's/Piggely-Wiggely bakery dept. pies or cheap box wine.

Hey, when I was a kid back in the early 70's I remember going into Piggly Wiggly's (Ventura Blvd, Encino) with my folks.

They had used oak barrels filled with bottles of 1959 Medoc for $2.00 ea.

Care to venture what that whine is worth now?

LOL, I also remember the same type of oak barrels filled with the biggest, best dill pickles in the world, for $.10 ea.

Maybe the chain is different now but back then PW's was a great store....ah, the days....sigh.
