He looks like a normal person. Rather refreshing to see, rather than the ones who plasticize their faces so they look weirdly ‘not old’ ...but not normal either.

I used to have an original Star Wars t-shirt, you know the one, rubber transfer process, Leah clinging to Luke as he raises the light saber. I bet my mom threw it away when I went to college.

I used to fantasize about being Jabba the Hut. Now that I am, it ain’t so great. There’s no hot chick, half dressed and chained to me. My wife won’t even pretend.

My dad says his mom threw away his “40s-era Superman comics. Last night, my pastor commented that a childhood friend gave him a shoebox-full of old baseball cards with guys named Ruth and Cobb and a few Yankees players. Of course, he reminded his mom that she threw those out after awhile.

It seems like all the girls I used to think were hot (Mary Ann, Marcia Brady, Princess Leia etc.) turned out to be drugged up floozies. They also got old while I am still young and in great shape.
Well at least I never turned into a druggie.

Ender’s Game?!!! They’re making a movie about Ender’s Game?!!!! I am sorry, but I have serious questions as to whether or not I would watch it out of concern that Hollywood may not have what it takes to capture the nature of the novel. Hunger Games, which has a similar premise, was a decent film, but I hope that you have someone who is really familliar with what made the novel enjoyable making the film.
To: fishtank
IMHO he should lose the earring. I just don’t get the whole guy earring thing.
To: mnehring
Loved his style of dialogue, in fact, if there’s anyone who really set the mold for what a politician/salesman in a movie should sound like, Billy Dee Williams was one of those people.
To: WHBates
I don’t get it - there is no part of the article about Carrie Fisher?
Hamill looks better than I thought he would. Not too long after the series, he was aging and had that hatchet-mark look all over his face, deep lines all over. I guess chunking out a bit helped solve that problem.

Gavin Hood is directing it. He directed X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Apparently he’s a big fan of the book, so hopefully the movie won’t be terrible.

Good grief. Has it really been 35 years? I remember taking my first wife (God rest her soul) and our daughter to see the first of the Star Wars movies. It seems like yesterday. Where has my life gone?
