Imho, he missed being part of a team. While he was with the Patriots it seemed to me that he loved working, loved being with the other players, and loved his coaches, particularly Belichick, and the feeling appeared to be mutual. He never complained, never whined, and gave it his all.

I know nothing about his personal life, but it saddens me to think of how he must have felt to have done such a desperate thing.

Seau seemed like one of those guys that could have had a pretty good post-career.....I would have pegged him as a natural to be an NFL analyst for some network.
