Flags today in tribute wave
For those loyal ones who gave
Of their youth, their hopes, their
might
For a cause they knew was right.

Morning bells sound their call,
Pause and say a prayer for all--
All who served valiantly
That men might be ever free.

Toll of bells, drums' slow beat--
Silence falls in every street.
In each heart swells the plea:
Keep us safe, but keep us free!

Marissa is pretty proud of herself; the church people have been telling her how talented she is.

When her Mom called, she recited it for her and her Mom cried.

This weekend has been another beautiful one at Amy's Place. All posts have been so touching with wonderful pictures, poems, personal stories, tributes, etc.

Bitter-sweet for some but, I believe, worth all the memories. Thank you, ALL.

I know, this has been a day of tears, I put flowers on my late husband’s grave, he was a USAF SGT. And my son’s. Why people wish others Happy Memorial day is beyond my understanding, it is a day to remember the the ultimate price our Troops pay, whether it is in life or limb, or eye site. It is not a day of Joy like the 4th is.

Attended the AM Legion Service for our troops.
