AFP - Britain will mount its biggest peacetime security operation for the London Olympics, with "lone wolf" attacks causing most concern but a range of other threats also under surveillance.
A security force of more than 40,000, backed by a huge intelligence operation, will guard venues, athletes and the millions of visitors expected to throng the British capital.

The Olympics got attacked by terrorists already, and that did not wake anyone up.
Even the Olympic Park bomb, although that was a domestic non-Muslim bomb, did little to concern people.
I would not consider going to London during the Olympics for any reason. As an athlete, I know the Olympics is a life’s dream, but I’d give serious thought to going there to compete as well.

Huh? Actually, its a very minor threat if at all. Typical crime is more of a problem than movie plot terrorism. Not to say it wont happen, but its very minor. As for waking up, Britain will be a Muslim country eventually, simple demographics, but that is a different wake up.
