Tim Thomas statement on not visiting White House after winning Stanley Cup -

"I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.

This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.

Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.

Fleury just doesn't look solid, and the defense stands around looking.

Flyers are skating circles around them.

The Pens have been playing like this for a long while. It was masked by all the goal scoring. The Pens defense is a one man show and Letang hasn’t played the same since he got back from his last injury. That leaves Fleury without much in front of him. He hasn’t been great but he shouldn’t have to face so many odd man rushes and breakaways.

As long as I’m b*tchin’, I might as well complain about the forward lines. Kunitz should have been put with Crosby. That would have given the Pens two no 1 lines. It’s amazing Crosby is producing what he is given that his line consists of scrubs.

That said the Flyers have shown they are a well constructed and coached team. I always thought Bryzgalov was an excellent goalie. I was hoping his foot would bother him more!
