You can’t imagine a scenario in which a woman busy with packing for a trip, getting three children ready and the car loaded could overlook something.

"Something," yes. THAT thing, no fricken way!

All things do not get the same level of attention and concern, at least in my world. When I pick up my Glock, it is with a much different comportment than when I pick up my toothbrush: same with my kid.

But that's been my point all along; Moses didn't come down off the mountain with tablets stating the "correct" position for the toilet seat is "down." Women do not, or at least should not, get to define what is and is not acceptable parenting and childcare using themselves as the model.

Ooh, I did this a few times with my baby. So glad I have switched to wearing her in a pouch now when shopping. Scary. Prayers up for that mom. Some car seats kind of snap in and some really just hover there. You have to keep your hand on it at all times. Better get some form of baby carrier and wear your baby.

I’m not all that far from Compton but I’ve slept with all 4 of my kids at times and would never roll over onto them. Insane.

Bwa ha ha ha ha! You really aren't stupid, this is just you playing an April Fool's joke. You are a funny one! Everyone knows the more babies you have the more gubmint money you get, especially if the babies have different daddies. Then when the kid has a disability, even ADD, mommy gets a crazy check each month as well as all of the other gubmint money. Babies are too precious (financially) for ghetto mommies to get rid of. Hell they even swap SSNs around here so that they can get even more child tax credits. Because they live below the poverty line they know the IRS will not attempt to prosecute them. Besides that, ghetto mommies don't have to raise their children. They have gubmint subsidized day care, Head Start, and school breakfast and lunch programs. Babies go to day care at six months old and even get potty trained there. Being a ghetto baby factory is a pretty easy gig. I have learned this in the past seven years that I've been teaching at our high school. Also, the term “epic” is already dated. Even high schoolers don't use it anymore. I've finally gotten through to my students that “epic” does not mean what they, and also you, think that it means. Have a wonderful day!

Here in Milwaukee, co-sleeping deaths are treated as an accident, even though the media fails to investigate whether the adult was drunk or high when the deaths occurred.

Really? I could be totally out of the loop: I’ve never heard that. Have you a link that could point us to some evidence thereof?

OK freedumb, we are square on this one. Accidents happen, often tragically, with no fault. Not the fault of the mom, not the fault of the store, not the fault of the shopping cart manufacturer.

Just a tragic accident.

It isn’t hyperbole. Every accident in childrearing to you is negligence. Therefore you expect perfection in childrearing. I do not believe that this case is a CLEAR case of negligence. We do not have all the details. It MAY have been a case of negligence. I would NEVER excuse a clear case of negligence. However, you allow NO room for human error in raising children. That is impossible. I can’t help it if reality doesn’t fit into your thus far mistake free parenting life.

Please answer this, did you and your wife have to deal with pregnancy, childbirth, sleep deprivation, nursing, colic etc? Or did you adopt an older child from China? How many children do you have? These are VERY relevant questions. I also noticed that you have a mother in law that lives with you. Does she offer help with your child/children?

I always carried my babies in slings in public. It keeps them close to you and it keeps strangers from trying to touch them. I never could carry around those heavy carseats with the baby inside. ‘Baby wearing’ is the best!

First of all, I did not FORGET to take precautions to buckle my daughter in to her carseat. I had NO KNOWLEDGE of the fact that her carseat was not strapped in the car. I can’t MAKE myself remember something of which I have no prior knowledge. If the carseat jostled around when my daughter was getting into it, I did not see it because she climbed into the carseat by herself and buckled her straps. I imagine at that point, her weight was holding her carseat firmly in place Therefore, I took for granted that it was strapped into the car just like every other day of my life as her mother. The circumstance was unusual and it has happened only once in 12 years of parenting. That isn’t negligence, that is human error. It could have ended tragically but thank God it did not. My older daughter noticed the carseat sway slightly when I went around a curve and we immediately pulled over and secured it into the car.

Yes I agree that some things get more attention than others. Children are the top priority. I did not handle her safety carelessly. I did not leave her unstrapped in her carseat or allow her to roam free in the car while I was driving. I reasonably assumed that I had secured my daughter into the car properly.

No women do not get to define acceptable parenting using themselves as models. Neither do men. God defines for my family what is and is not acceptable parenting. Do I always live up to His standards? No and do you know why? Because I am human and imperfect. I am thankful for His grace.

“Babies go to day care at six months old and even get potty trained there.”

I think you mean six weeks old.

Google Milwaukee co-sleeping deaths

We’ve just had this year a repeat mom crush her kid to death sleeping. They do this because it’s not the kid of the current boyfriend. Nobody gets charged. It only happens with minorities here. The mayor’s response is to put billboards on buses about avoiding co-sleeping - the week this stupid campaign started we had 2_3 co-sleeping deaths.

What it is is infanticide but nobody has the balls to call it that because it is a 100% minority - almost all black - “problem”.

They will get rid of a baby if the current boyfriend says it’s me or the other guys’ baby. As you said they will just have another one with the current boyfriend.
