On Sunday’s “Face the Nation” on CBS, Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum explained that his view of the Trayvon Martin shooting differed significantly from the one held by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
Gingrich was critical of President Barack Obama’s reaction, but Santorum placed the blame on accused shooter George Zimmerman’s mental state.
“Well, you know, obviously, I’m not privy to what’s going on in someone’s mind,” Santorum said. “Obviously, in my opinion, someone … has a very sick mind who would pursue someone like this. This is clearly a heinous act. You know, there are a lot of people who have a lot of distorted views of reality. It’s a tragic, tragic case. And my heart goes out to the parents, too. I can’t imagine what they’re suffering, losing their son in such a horrific way. All I would say is that, whatever the motive is, it was a malicious one, and a very, very tragic one.”

But the current crop of GOP candidates don't have a pray. The only hope the GOP has is maintaining a majority in the House, getting a majority in the Senate, then impeaching Obama out of office and undoing all his of legislative nightmares, including Obamacare.

The other night Hannity was yapping about Zimmerman not having obeyed the 911 operator...not really surprised, though.
Apparently Zimmerman was his own law - nobody was going to tell him what to do - This poor kid was killed by THE JUDGE!

Well, I just read the FULL RS quote, and I agree with Rick. There was NO excuse for this clown chasing a man down who committed no crime. Very possibly, Martin thought that *Zimmerman* was a criminal, and seized his opportunity to attack him physically. After being beaten, Zimmerman was angry, understandably, but then he shot to kill.
Look, to me it is a “man bites dog” story, and such things happen rarely. The shooter seems to me to be a Deputy Dog type, but we don’t need the loathesome Al Sharpton and others to fan the flames as if this was something other than an isolated incident. Bob
Zimmerman had no right to go around killing innocent citizens walking home from the store with skittles and an ided tea.

If you read through the record of his 911 calls, it appears that Zimmerman was a busybody, almost the stereotype, who in old movies is played by an old woman.
All the way up until he killed an innocent DEFENSELESS 17 year old BOY for walking home from the sotore with his Skittles and Iced Tea....Bad Boy, dealing those candies and drinkin’ that hard stuff...he deserved to be killed didn’t he?
Everyone reported that, even Zimmerman himself..duh!
