WHO WAS ST BARNABAS?
Born in Cyprus as Joseph, Barnabas was an Early Christian later named an apostle.
His story appears in the Acts of the Apostles, and Paul mentions him in some of his epistles.
The date, place, and circumstances of his death are historically unverifiable.
But Christian tradition states that he was martyred at Salamis, Cyprus.
He is traditionally identified as the founder of the Cypriot Church, with his feast day on June 11.

Just a small note, it is mentioned in the article that the discovered book treats Jesus as a human being and not a God and rejects the ideas of the Holy Trinity and the Crucifixion. How it could be and in the 1st and 2nd pictures of that book, there is a cross? If the book rejects the idea of crucifixion, why there is a cross? Simply, the cross in Christianity represents the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Since it is printed on the hinder parts of a camel, it is fiction.
Well, what we know is that the Gospel of Barnabas is not part of the Bible, and never has been.
So, whatever is in it, it has NO bearing on Christian theology, although a LOT of New Testament “scholars” may make much of it.
Not a bible. It’s an old book. Nothing more.
There is an earlier story that I saw about this bible that did not carry the muslim slant that is in this story. That article stated that this new discovery had not yet been totally translated or read. And the original article was also in the Daily Mail. I’m guessing that it has been replaced by this muslim promoting story in the archives.
Its just Apocrypha. There are lots of them that surface from time to time—Like the Gospel of Judas, or the Gospel of Pontius Pilot. What IS the verses that seem to imply a coming of Mohammed? It might refer to many other things or saints.

I'm familiar with that quote, not only in a Turkish version but also in all of my ancient and modern Bible versions. "This calls for wisdom, if anyone has insight, let him calculate the number . . . for it is the number of a person . . ."
That reminds me of the "Blackadder" episode where Blackadder was made a bishop or some such and he was inventorying the holy relics that he had available for sale: one of them was the skull of Jesus; another was the skull of Jesus when he was a boy ...
Who decided what the Bible was to me made up of and when did they decide it? The Disciples I imagine, right?
Lot of social mobility in those days. He rose through the ranks from river pilot to Governor of Judea. No wonder he got his own gospel.
