Good evening, M! *hugs*

Beautiful graphics again today.

I had one of those "life gets in the way days"! :)

Everything is back to normal so I'll go to bed tonight in a much better frame of mind.

Hope your day was good to you!

Count The Days

Enumerate the days until He was born in Bethlehem away so far
Remembering the way it was told in the Good Book so true
The story still excites me for I know it now by heart I do
I can see that little manger under the gleam of that distant star

Shepherds and their sheep stood watch, as Angles sang sweet
Wise men sought Him, the promised Savior, Heaven’s Lamb
Mary kissed her tiny child and so the face of her Lord, I Am
The greatest gift, for all mankind, the proclaimed Redemption’s treat

I love the season truly, for I know the true Reason for the Season
Not the fat man in red, or piles of gifts in colors grand
Not a fir lighted in a glory of hues on the tree stand
Its for the One that carried all the pain of the world, His only Son

A Growing Belligerence

December 12, 2011

On a recent trip, the flight attendant asked if I flew very often. When I said I did, he asked, “Have you noticed people on planes becoming increasingly more belligerent and aggressive in recent months?” I had to confess that I agreed with him. We began talking about what might be contributing to it—things like increased airport security, higher costs, fewer services, and a general dissatisfaction with travel. As if to prove the point, our conversation was interrupted by a passenger who refused to sit in his assigned seat because he liked someone else’s seat assignment better!

When we encounter anger and belligerence, the follower of Christ can be a peacemaker. Paul wrote to the church at Rome with this challenge, “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men” (Rom. 12:18). What does that mean? For one thing, it means that we must control what we can control. We can’t control the attitudes of others, but we can control our response.

When we see angry or hostile attitudes displayed around us, we can show the heart of the Prince of Peace by responding graciously in a peaceful manner. In this way we will demonstrate the attitude of our Savior in a world filled with a growing belligerence.

Sometimes in a conversation
Words of anger can be heard;
If in peace we can defuse it,
We are living by God’s Word. —Hess

The world needs a peace that passes all misunderstanding.

Read: Philippians 4:4-9

If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. —Romans 12:18

Good Morning to Amy's Place!

I'm sure I am like most of you
busy as can be. I will be scarce around here
until Christmas passes in order to get everything done!
I will be here when I can though. Hope you all have a great Monday!

The Lost Mitten
~ Unknown ~

My poor little kitten lost her mitten
And started to cry, boo-hoo.
So I helped my kitten look for her mitten,
Before her paw turned blue.

So true ... so true. Thank you for the biblical reference. God's Word is to be a part of our everyday. The more the better.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Ecclesiastes 2:1-11
King James Version (KJV)
Ecclesiastes 2
1.I said in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity.
2.I said of laughter, It is mad: and of mirth, What doeth it?
3.I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life.
4.I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards:
5.I made me gardens and orchards, and I planted trees in them of all kind of fruits:
6.I made me pools of water, to water therewith the wood that bringeth forth trees:
7.I got me servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me:
8.I gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces: I gat me men singers and women singers, and the delights of the sons of men, as musical instruments, and that of all sorts.
9.So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me.
10.And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour.
11.Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.”
In this day of tolerance ... we are to permit all behaviors of others, unless it is physical and personal. Yet Christians very faith, and speaking of it, is called intolerant.
In the tolerance police policies, how is it they feel free to be intolerant of the Christians faith?
The Antichrists are alive and well in our society. Beware of evil, it is everywhere.
Pray believing.
AMEN, geologist.
If its filthy, it goes and if its religious, its a no no! I
have a hard time coping with the world today. I wonder what
God thinks of us. Well, I guess I know but I will never
let anyone tell me I can’t express my religious beliefs!
Thank you, Meg.
I was planning to use this Opening last Caturday, but power poles snapped and I lost my internet for awhile. I don’t know whether all the freezing weather would cause that or not.
Later, Marissa wanted to get the outdoor decorations up. So we spent all afternoon decorating. :)
Thank you for working thru all of FR problems to decorate the thread with your beautiful graphics yesterday.
