Oh, darn, I hate it when that happens ~ at the same time I want to know what is shutting down “visible star formation” in distant galaxies that appear to have contiguous streamers connecting them.

I'm no cosmologist, but things like dark matter and dark energy sure seem like a modern version of Ptolomy's epicycles.

I have the feeling that in 50-100 years, cosmologists will laugh at just how wrong they were.

But...but...but I thought this matter was already “settled science”.

The Universe is made up of two things. Matter, and Doesn’t Matter. Matter comprises about .000000000000000000001% of the Universe. The rest is “Doesn’t Matter”.

Man tries soooooo hard to figure all this stuff out...the order of it. It can't reproduce it...not on paper or for real.

When will man admit his proper place in the universe instead of trying to defend his superiority over God by simple denial.

Of course we've made strides in all sciences...it's amazing....but someone was ALWAYS and FOREVER...one step ahead of us....laying the foundations of our discoveries.

Footnote...Morality wise...we've gone backwards...a right to destroy a new life, an unborn child. I'll always be ashamed of our country for this approach and the forcing of the gay life style upon us. Shame on the USA.

Science falsely so called

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Sounds like prequel-spin for when the LHC fails to find DM.

Scientists are starting to remind me of Ancient Astronaut theorists... just wild speculations such as “perhaps” maybe” it could be”. Scientists, we pay them to make the mistakes we don’t want to make.

Dwarf galaxies suggest dark matter theory may be wrong

Don't they mean "Little Person Galaxies?"

I would not be surprised within 15 years some physicist revives the supposedly discarded theory of aether and comes up with a totally new theory of physics that overthrows everything we've known since the 1600's.

"The current theory holds that around 4% of the Universe is made up of normal matter..."

IOW, 96% of what is supposed to exist according to these models is invisible by definition.

How very 'scientific'...

Will the LHC be able to find the particles? Will the standard model live or die? Will dark matter be warm or cold or just right?

The tension builds and builds till no one can sleep!
