Donald Trump slammed Robert De Niro Monday, following the Oscar-winner’s criticisms of him this weekend, telling Fox News that the actor is “not the brightest bulb on the planet.”

“I like his acting, but in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we’re not dealing with Albert Einstein,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” Monday. “He can say what he wants but the fact is that this guy has not revealed his birth certificate, a lot of people agree with me.”

And even if you don’t support Trump, it’s fun to watch, just like “Team America” slammed down the celebritards....doesn’t mean I’d vote for Matt or Trey as POTUS.

"I agree . However Trump loves bitch slapping these chumps . For him it is effortless and fun . Why not."

I agree, it's good entertainment and funny stuff. But he's not a serious candidate for President. If anyone needed proof, this is prima facia evidence.

>Trump has just elevated Deniro as if his opinion matters.<

I dont support Trump either but you have to admit, that was LOL funny. Not as great as his legendary 5 minute smack-down on Rosie but it was simple, straight to the point and edgy.

Why do supporters of freedom have to keep quiet everytime liberal idiots like De Niro kick us in the groin? F**k libs.

Oh, I totally agree. It's hilarious. It's just that it shows he's not a serious candidate. Which was my only point. For instance, you will never see Obama taking a shot at John Voight who is not even a political lightweight. Someone who is knowledgable on the issues, but still an actor. Someone else would be defending Obama against any attacks from him, not Obama himself. He'll reserve his attacks for people like Paul Ryan and the Presidential contendors.

“Typical straw man argument. Build up an argument I never made and attack that. First off, I'm tired of hearing that Bush led to Obama’s election. Juan McCain led to Obama’s election. If we would not have put up Bob Dole reincarnated to run against him, if we would have had a solid conservative to run against Obama, we could have won. Secondly, I never said you don't answer your critics as Bush almost slavishly refused to do. I said you don't answer these small time political lightweights. As President, if you answer back against everyone who says anything bad about you, you will never talk about anything else. It demeans the office of the Presidency, lowers yourself and raises up your lightweight enemy. When Harry Reid stands up in the well of the Senate and says the war is lost, you go after him!! You attack him for all you got. When a bozo actor who probably didn't even vote in the last election criticizes you, you don't waste your time”.

Bush endorsed mccain early on... and we would not have had a mccain without karl rove and Bush. I cannot make you see the truth but many here on this thread know that Bush and rove and their agenda and the mistakes that they made, led directly to enough Americans distrusting them and the republican party, that enough Americans truned from them and it put the dims in control of the House and Senate in 2006 and gave the presidency to obama in 2008... and this was LONG before mccain was even considered the nominee.

Let's look at your original post:

“This just shows that “The Donald” is not a serious candidate IMO”.

Ok... I never argued with that point.

“I mean, we all know that Deniro is a stupid dufus when it comes to all things political”.

No argument offered by me on that remark.

“Quite frankly, does anyone really care what Deniro thinks about when it comes to politics”?

Yes... many people care that some hollywood moron spews the left's propaganda, using his status as a screen icon. Everyone on this thread cares or they would not bother to respond... including you! Even minds full of mush that look for all lies with which to defend their messiah... care.

“He’s a political lightweight. So, why do you respond to that”?

Because Bush and rove absolutely proved that not responding is a losing proposition. To argue with that reality is to be ignorant of the facts surrounding rove and Bush and their refusing to offer any self defense to attacks or is being outright disingenuous.

“Trump has just elevated Deniro as if his opinion matters”.

No, he destroyed de niro and these mindless ramblings from a hollywood communist... a man that reads words that others write for him to speak. The worst thing de niro can do now is to open his fat mouth again... and if he does... Trump will jam de niro's other foot into that rancid pie hole.

What’s the last “good” DeNiro film? IMHO Meet the Parents. The sequels were dumb. Before that, I’d have to go back 20 years to Goodfellas. He used to be great, but has been phoning it in for a LONG time.

"Everyone on this thread cares or they would not bother to respond... including you!"

My only point in responding was to say that these comments show that Trump is not a serious candidate. No serious candidate attacks someone from Hollywood who probably does not even vote. They let their minions do that. You will never see Obama go after John Voight. He has some toady do that.

"Bush endorsed mccain early on... and we would not have had a mccain without karl rove and Bush."

It is also clear that you have Bush derangement syndrome. Yes, of course Bush endorsed McCain, AFTER HE GOT THE NOMINATION!!! He never made any pronouncements about who he supports until McCain had it all but wrapped up. He's the sitting President and de facto leader of his party. Every President does that whether he agrees with the nominee or not. If Ronald Reagan would have been the sitting President, he would have endorsed McCain after it was sown up. Karl Rove never worked on McCain's campaign. You are being way too conspiratorial. McCain lost that election all by himself. He didn't need Bush's help. When you fault Bush for everything, you are shown to be not serious. Blame Bush for things he actually did. Don't be like Obama and link him to everything bad that has happened in the past 10 years.

Analyze This was pretty funny. And I’ll also throw in Casino as a good movie between the 1990 thru 2000 timespan.

Hmmm... I forgot about Casino. He was good in that. But Joe Pesci really stole the show. Analyze This was OK. I admit it had it’s moments, but DeNiro was just playing a parody of his gangster persona.
