Glenn Beck Accuses Fareed Zakaria Of Being An “Out And Out America Basher”

On Glenn Beck’s television show yesterday, he brought up one of his favorite pieces of literature, Cass Sunstein’s 2008 essay on conspiracy theorists (PDF) which lists ways the government might combat them. One suggestion advises the government to “hire credible private parties to engage in counterspeech.” On today’s radio show, Beck told us who one of these private parties might be; none other than Fareed Zakaria.

A few months ago, Zakaria took umbrage with Beck’s assertion that 10% of Muslims are terrorists. However, Zakaria really got on Glenn Beck’s bad side this weekend with his interview with perennial enemy of Beck (or Beckemy), George Soros. Beck responded to the interview thusly:

“Now you have people like Zakaria, Fareed Zakaria, who’s just an out and out America basher. Here’s a guy who came up against me. What a surprise, now, that he’s had two interviews with George Soros. And he’s one of the useful idiots who’s being used by the Left to come against me.”

Also in the clip, Beck accused Soros of “smelling like sausage and cigarrettes” which, in my opinion, is more damning than twelve chalkboards worth of sinister connections.

What is important is that Soros, a WW2 nazi collaborator (a KAPO to fellow Jews whom he betrayed), was trying to call Beck and conservatives, “Nazis”. It’s that old switcheroo game that the Left likes to play, charge you enemies with being what you are, and some of the media falls for it all the time.

Zakaria is a leftist lightweight who has been wrong many more times that he has been right on world affairs.

Like MSNBC, he rates a “zero”. And he makes no sense a lot of time.

Beck’s on a roll. Let’s support him in his exposes of Soros, the Left, and the Obama regime.

“I too take umbrage with Beck’s assertion. 10% is much too low.”

Yeah I found it too low myself. I think Beck was severely mistaken on that, but Fareed Zakariah is a left wing hack hired by the CNN to support the Obama administration. I don’t care much about him, but from what I know of him the guy hates anybody who is against Obama, George Soros, and The Muslim Brotherhood.

On his CNN program, Eliot Spitzer asked Fareed, “Look, I read something in the paper this week a couple of days ago that made me bring a smile to my face. It said the president of the United States calls you for wisdom and advice about issues around the world. So first when he calls you, what does he say, hi, Barack, you’re calling for Fareed? What does he do?” “Mostly it’s been face‑to‑face meetings. You know, it’s usually organized by Tom Donilon, the National Security Advisor. What I’m struck by, though, honestly, Elliott, is how much time he’s spending thinking about the issues of the Arab strain, particularly the issues of Egypt, how to make it go right, what are the mechanisms that the United States has to help the moderates and liberals. It’s been a very thoughtful conversation. You know, we’ll see where it goes,” Zakaria answered. “Shouldn’t we know if a reporter or a show host, a talk show host is giving advice to the president of the United States, shouldn’t we know what those conversations were so when we hear it spill out of his mouth, we know if it’s propaganda, to forward the presidential objectives?” Glenn asked. “You would think CNN’s standards would be that this guy would no longer be employed as of right now.
