Dear Friend,
We felt that advertising on the Glenn Beck Program could be mis-interpreted as an endorsement of Mr. Beck's political views. Since Omaha Steaks has no affiliation with Mr. Beck, nor do we ever endorse any political affiliations, views or beliefs, we felt it was in our best interest to discontinue these ads.
Sincerely,
Julie Davis Omaha Steaks Customer Care Representative

Correction from the CEO of Omaha Steaks, Bruce Simon:
The staff writers of our blog responded incorrectly and I want to apologize for any confusion this may have caused. The facts are: we did not pull our ads from any show. Our holiday TV advertising contract ends on December 19th. Our contract never specified when our ads would air, only that they would air. Mr. Becks show is enjoyed by many, and we at Omaha Steaks hope our steaks are too. Our marketing is designed to speak to Americans who love steaks and great food, getting together with family and friends and giving gifts of great taste no matter what TV shows they watch or what newspapers they read.

______________
Omaha Steaks buys large units of national television advertising during the holiday season. This year, we bought a package of advertising through the Fox Network. We did not request to be included on specific program. As part of our contract, the Omaha Steaks ads run in a variety of time slots throughout the day.
At Omaha Steaks, we greatly value the loyalty and support of our customers, fans and followers and thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
I live IN the country, on 40 acres, with 3 beef farms right next to me. I pick my beef from another farmer though who lives in the county north of me. He raises the highest grade Angus and provides the best service. I hire a butcher in the same county to kill and process the animal. I split the whole cow with my son. we each take a half.
This is very legal and the Beef is handled and covered by state meat inspection laws. The farmer has every right to sell his cows to what ever market he chooses. Finding one only requires getting to know them. This is in and of itself, the very best way to buy meat. This way you have absolute control over what you buy as well as save huge amounts of money in the process. Not to mention the impeccable quality.
By the way, this is a regular practice for rural people. You know, people who actually live in the country? People like me who have done so all my life. (And yes, I have also worked on farms ever since I was old enough to stack hay.)
The backtracking on Mr. Simon's part is breathtaking. Freepers and other sensible people do make a difference! Keep up the good work!

They are in full gluteus protectus mode... just got the same glop in email that I posted above... I replied: “Nice backpedal.
It’s very apparent your company will in the future, give considerations to the point of view of those that instigated this mess in the first place - the activists of stopbeck.com - acquiescing to their wishes is a tacit endorsement of their political affiliations, views and beliefs - something you are professing not to do. You are “Dixie Chicking” your company.”
Too late for you, Bruce; but perhaps other companies will learn that it is not too bright to capitulate to leftist organizations without doing a little research first. Alienating customers? Stupid. There is no other word for it.
My apology. I misread you.
Got a contact for that bison jerky? Sounds worth trying out.........
people = IRS?
No, left wing zealots who got them to perform harikari on their Christmas sales!

Wagyuu, or 和牛, means "Japanese beef." Perhaps they don't feed the cows beer or massage them, but they're pretty much pampered all the same.
Big mistake. Libs only eat arugula.
