The American Medical Association defines an “alcoholic” as someone who
1.Has a prolonged period of frequent, heavy alcohol use.
2.Is unable to control drinking once it has begun.
3.Has withdrawal symptoms when the individual stops using alcohol.
4.Needs to use more and more alcohol to achieve the same effects.
5.Has a variety of social and/or legal problems arising from alcohol use.
By that definition, Hillary Clinton is an alcoholic.

As of Saturday night, the FBI had still not gotten approval from the Justice Department for a warrant that would allow agency officials to read any of the newly discovered Abedin emails, and therefore are still in the dark about whether they include any classified material that the bureau has not already seen.
“We do not have a warrant,” a senior law enforcement official said. “Discussions are under way [between the FBI and the Justice Department] as to the best way to move forward.”

I’ve noticed that in history there are many fools who fail to appreciate who they should heed.
For example Winston Churchill.
I recently learned that starting out in the early 30s, Churchill had a friend with access to secret intel. Not sure I have the name spelled correctly:
Dezmund Morton/Norton.
That intel was mainly about secret German plans to build up their military. People failed to listen. Called Churchill a ‘war monger’. They shunned him. France did too.
Of course, if Chuchill had been silent there would have been even less motivation to prepare. But he pressured England just enough that they devoloped a vital radar system and the Spitfire. I doubt he personally had anything to do directly with such developments, but people sensed danger.
People here might have indirectly inspired Wikileaks and O’Keef, maybe through someone three levels down the grapevine.
Seems to be a social media blackout.

Just wanted to pass along this note I sent to Bob Creamer, who as you may know is consulting for the DNC and is close to Robby Mook. Wanted to pass it along to you as well, hoping you won’t take offense because I feel some urgency about this. You and Podesta are a great bridge to the DC, more establishment oriented progressive world, but I just feel like the campaign is making a mistake not doing stronger outreach to grassroots/netroots progressives. And while I don’t think it will cause them to lost the primary, I do worry it makes everything tougher in that process, and it makes bringing everyone in (and getting them excited) after Bernie loses that much harder. permalink

The latest development began in early October when New York-based FBI officials notified Andrew McCabe, the bureau’s second-in-command, that while investigating Mr. Weiner for possibly sending sexually charged messages to a minor, they had recovered a laptop with 650,000 emails. Many, they said, were from the accounts of Ms. Abedin, according to people familiar with the matter.
Those emails stretched back years, these people said, and were on a laptop that both Mr. Weiner and Ms. Abedin used and that hadn’t previously come up in the Clinton email probe. Ms. Abedin said in late August that the couple were separating.

At a meeting early last week of senior Justice Department and FBI officials, a member of the department’s senior national-security staff asked for an update on the Weiner laptop, the people familiar with the matter said. At that point, officials realized that no one had acted to obtain a warrant, these people said.
Mr. McCabe then instructed the email investigators to talk to the Weiner investigators and see whether the laptop’s contents could be relevant to the Clinton email probe, these people said. After the investigators spoke, the agents agreed it was potentially relevant.

Others further down the FBI chain of command, however, said agents were given a much starker instruction on the case: “Stand down.” When agents questioned why they weren’t allowed to take more aggressive steps, they said they were told the order had come from the deputy director—Mr. McCabe.
Others familiar with the matter deny Mr. McCabe or any other senior FBI official gave such a stand-down instruction.
