MKH...your interest in Nevil Shute's novels prompted me to investigate whether my library had any of his lesser known works. It didn't, so I requested an inner-library loan search for several, and got one of my 3 requestes last week: Requiem for a Wren.
I enjoyed it so much that it is another one I would recommend that you read.
Yes! I think that book also goes by the name “The Breaking Wave”. Was it about the RAF pilot who has lost his feet in a war accident and then goes back home to Australia?
