Glad to be back for another season. The avocado tree is positively loaded with fruit this season. Last time it had this much fruit all the baby avocados were blown off the tree.

Does this imply we’ll have an “Oil Spill Preparedness Week” soon?

Whoa boy.

I don't see any African-American names on that list. Won't Sheila-Jackson-Lee be upset?

It is full of baloney, bullshit, chocolate, beer, looters, crooked cops, school buses, and Democrats. It goes by the trade name of the “Ray Nagin’s get outta town hurricane preparedness kit and hemorrhoid cure”.

CAll 1-800 Al-Sharpton to buy one.

Ready as can be

There is very little "fire" in the poinsetta trees and when there is very little our season has been harmless

Here's to hoping the old island tale holds true again

Finally the season has arrived. With the oil spill that is this Obammas guys fault now we will have oil through the entire Gulf area and even far inland. He will be responsible for the greatest disaster in all of mankind. I can see the oil soaked building now. Is not it about time he got of his lazy ass and did at least one thing correct this year. Then again a hurricane may it and sweep all the oil out to sea.

Pulling out the generator to run a function test this weekend. Plus check the batteries, etc, etc, and clean the gutters.

Fired up my generator yesterday and let it run for about ten minutes. Hope I/we don’t need it!

Thanks once again for doing what yo do NN,it is much appreciated.

I wonder if we have a hurricane spokesman who would be willing to conjure up a guess as to what effect an early storm would have on the oil spill in the Gulf?

Jeff Masters discusses the oil spill at length in his Sunday blog. He said that if 90L becomes strong and lingers off the Southeast U.S. coast for several days, a significant amount of oil could get pumped into the Loop Current late in the week. Meanwhile, light southeast to east winds are expected to blow over the northern Gulf of Mexico through Monday, resulting in potential oiling of Louisiana shorelines from the mouth of the Mississippi River westward 150 miles, according to the latest trajectory forecasts from NOAA.

He also said the oil threat to the keys is uncertain at this point, as the oil headed into the loop current is currently cut off from the main spill region.
