Sierra Vista has got to be some kind of weather anomaly! I’m sitting in the middle of town and, if I do a slow spin, I see nothing but solid clowds all the way around us.

But, here in town, it’s sunny!

We’ve had some misting rain and some very heavy winds but no snow to speak of. Up the mountain slopes there is some snow; but again, not much.

We have a storm blowing through, yes, but I certainly wouldn’t call it a blizzard!

The weather channel just reported that winds at 99mph were clocked in the Chandler area. This is a NASTY storm! Tlaquepaque, Poco Diablo, and Aroya Roble have all been evacuated, up here in Sedona. The creek is supposed to crest at midnight, at 20’ over flood level......

It drizzled all day today - something we have needed for years! But, now, it is pouring, and the winds are picking up. How ‘bout you - are you safe? Is the Tornado warning near your area?

A tornado is heading ne of Scottsdale to Cave Creek and Carefree area. Hope all are safe! (Doppler indicated tornado)

ABC just had a weather update - the tornado is headed NE to Rio Verde - out of Scottsdale, now.

We spent a weekend at Poco Diablo a few years back - I wouldn’t want to be there with a rising creek...

We’ve been without power for almost an hour; it’s finally back on.

The wind was pushing my truck around as I drove home from work this evening.

It is SO still up here now. I just went out and listened. No wind - no rain - nothing. Just a spooky stillness.

Glad you got home safe from work, and that you got your power back on.

I have an oil lantern, lit, in my living room - just in case we lose our power, too, and a candle in the bathroom, and a flashlight with new batteries, next to my chair.

I have the scanner on - trees and rocks are falling all over the highways, but no major accidents that I have heard.
